What a display. The portraits and armors of those from days gone by. Faces that blended together but all portraying faces of strength and hardship. Praxis almost wanted to stop to investigate their stories and their shinies, but now was not the time. She needed to have an audience, whether by bursting through their doors or by the guiding light of the smaller fairy.
As they shook off their desires and headed towards one end of a hallway, footsteps of armored guards made their way towards them. Praxis turned on their heel towards the opposite direction to avoid another conflict… Yet, whomever was in charge, seemed to be aware of their game of hide and seek and sought to close off their other exit. Great. Of course the place with two exits was closed off - three if they counted the window but they were kind of missing wings right then.
So the fairy simply stood still, their arms crossed over their chest and their hand on their mouth. How troublesome… All this chaos simply because they wanted a visit and were denied. They swore, if they ended up getting locked behind another door again they might really go insane. Fountain or dungeon, it would remain the same.
Passing heartbeats and nothing happened. No weapons raised, no steps closer, nothing. Good.. Okay, they could at least respect that. When no threat was shown to them, no threat was shown back. If they were waiting for the faes hostility, they wouldn’t get it.
At least this gave them a moment to investigate their surroundings: A hall full of those who fought for their people. Their armor shined and scratched to display their efforts. The fairy ran her hand lightly along the metals of one piece, faint memories of blessing similar pieces for their own quests. How nostalgic.
Another set of footsteps approached and the fairy turned towards them, watching as the guards parted and a young woman stepped forward. The extravagance of her gown and crown to show her status. The fairy’s eyes twitched for a brief squint, staring at the thin girl who stepped forward in all her regalia. Scarlet and gold to accent her form almost washed her out in the daylight and the Fairy wondered if she may collapse in the middle of her greeting.
Praxis put one food behind the other, bending at the waist with one hand behind their back and the other over their heart. Their gaze followed the princesses movements, amusement joining their curiosity as she brought her gaze to meet theirs. “Greetings, Princess of Hyrule.” An apology was certainly welcome and certainly helped soothe parts of their anger. The sincerity almost made them want to apologize for their earlier chaos. Almost…
“The last name your family had given me was Praxis.” They thought it was suitable. A name meaning action, passion. The sister who was most willing to banter and most willing to act, whether it was for those of good faith or response to bad manners. “All I can offer is their most recent, given how it changes..”
Praxis wandered closer to the princess, no hostile intent shown in their features - frustration of their circumstances not to the princess but for her. “Goddesses, child. They’re putting the entire realm on you.. No wonder you look like you’ll break.” Their hand went to their cheek as they looked her over, finger tapping against their cheekbone. “When did you last eat, sleep?” While they had a purpose here, they couldn’t in good mind scold a child without at least showing concern for their well being. The Great Fairies had been caretakers in some form or another, after all.
“How long have you been in charge, how old are you? Where is your - brother, you said? Where is the king?” At least one of the royal family came to greet them, not every leader could come meet them themselves. But to send a child, let alone one who looked like this, to meet them after all the chaos they had caused. The fairy could only mutter to themselves.

“Oh this place is in worse shape than I feared..”
