Six months. Six months King Leon of Hyrule had been traveling in search of his fathers killer. He hadn't wanted to be noticed, so he had decided to travel with only his loyal Sheikah bodyguard, Crystal. She also had business outside of Hyrule, so he had figured it was a perfect opportunity. Alas, however, he had not found any links to his fathers killers. The assassin organization had proven crafty, able to elude him at every turn.
So he decided to return to his home, after some internal deliberation. He owed it to his father, to his people, to be there for them. They needed him now more than ever. When he returned, though... what he came home to ead more terrible than he had dared to think. Increased monster attacks, corrupt officials vying for power, bandits selling people onto slavery.
His kingdom was on the brink of ruin, but he wasn't going to allow it to crumble. Not like this. He had moved swiftly, casting out the nobles who had betrayed him and tried to take his throne for themselves. Restructuring the chain of command again would take time, of course, but he needed allies too. His sister was brilliant, and be knew she'd never turn down being at his side. An administrative aide and advisor.
But he needed a commander, too. Someone who was intelligent, and willing to fight with his men. He knew the perfect person for that job. So he had made his way to the quaint Ordon Village, dressed in commoners clothes. Eaiser to travel that way. His guards he traveled with were stationed at the entrance to the village, as he wished to speak to Josh alone.
His horse trotted along the path to the farm Josh lived at, moving closer to the main house. She was a beautiful white mare and he was sure Josh would recognize her. It was there he would wait, however, hoping for Josh to come out. If he knew his friend well then it wouldn't be long. Josh liked keeping busy.
