OH KING, MY KING
King Leon de Hyrule and Ursula von Brandt
Hyrule Castle
Midday
Two women walked down the white halls of Hyrule Castle. The first was a maid of a noble house, gentle in appearance, average of height, yet full of secrets. The other was tall and stately, yet held a dark, unpleasant air about her with a gait of one who held title, and clad in a dark cloak affixed with the regalia of the Royal Family. Upon her nose was a pair of amber glasses that mirrored the world, and her raven hair, while dark and braided, had a single tuft of platinum blonde hair that hung over the left side of her face.
She was the Royal Tutor, Lady Ursula von Brandt, a distinguished figure among the nobles as an object of horror, but order. There were many a rumor surrounding her, but nary an inquirer, for fear of entanglement in supernatural affairs. Regardless, she was a regular of the castle, and one who knew a number of the cases that surrounded the extension of the Royal Family's rulership.
On her agenda as of this moment was an investigation she had previously performed on behalf of the current dean of the Hyrulean School of Magic (who was not the archmage by any means, but a seasoned mage who simply held the authority due to his charisma), concerning a certain lord that benefited the school with funding.
Were it that Lord Perseus were wiser a man, he wouldn't have tested the princess' patience. The entire meeting was quite docile until he had lost his temper at the verdict. He does not stand with the most unsavory of characters that I have met in my lifetime, but he truly is one of the worst. The information I've compiled on him is telling. This goes beyond the inquiry of Lord Mondeau, ergo I must present the case before the Royal Court and advocate for a deeper investigation...
"Ah, Lady von Brandt."
Ursula looked up from her musings as one of the royal guides approached her. "Sir Lawrence."
"I hope you are not here to see Princess Marianne?" the butler inquired with upturned brows.
"... Unfortunately, I am. There is something I must discuss with her."
"I see..." the fellow lowered his head, "I'm afraid that isn't possible today. She is currently out of her office and looking into a matter that she could not ignore from the castle."
The woman's brow furrowed, which in turn, enhanced her look of dissatisfaction, "Whatever might that be?"
"She did not say, I'm afraid... for now, I can only direct your inquiries to my notepad, which I shall forward to the princess as soon as she returns." As the man spoke, he produced a notebook and quill from his breastpocket.
"... With due respect, I'm afraid my matter is rather confidential. I will wait until she returns."
"Very well. I apologize for the inconvenience, milady. I will send you the soonest notification on her return."
"Mm."
With that, Ursula turned around with her maid in tow. When they were a little ways away from earshot of regular Hylians and prying nobles, the maid spoke up.
"Odd. We're privy of much of the princess' activities. Perhaps it was an emergency?"
Ursula grimaced as she glanced over to the large doors. Tch. I wouldn't be surprised if Lawrence was sold... "We must wait until the princess returns, I suppose...”
