“You two need to hide. The commotion up here has caught the ears of the Dodongo herd below, and a number of them will be up here in a matter of seconds. We have ushered the princess to a safer location where she may still watch your exploits until you are finished. If there is anything you’ve left to do up here, act quickly.”
Dormagoro wasn't sure he heard that right. What was even more troubling was that shortly after the heat of all things, Marianne had disappeared altogether with only an entirely different person in their party. He didn't recognize them but he knew right away such skills often alluded to the Sheikah. The Goron was no stranger to them since they practically shared the province as home but he often tried to avoid them. He didn't despise them - no, far from it. They just made him wary and anxious, especially when most of their garb had that unnerving eye insignia. It practically pierced his soul.
But as quick as they came, they equally disappeared and only Phoebe seem to pick up the message. Dormagoro on the other hand, did not. He was just plain confused.
“I don’t know about you, Mr. Dormagoro, but I don’t think it’s wise if we stay around here. I’ll try to get up the hill where the Lizalfos was stalking the princess, and try to get everything I can on their behavior. Try to conceal yourself, er, if you can?”
He nodded, snapping back to his senses. "Oh! Certainly! Not a problem." Giving Phoebe a thumbs-up, he jogged the opposite end of the hill by the cliffside, away from the researcher. Dodongos are quite familiar with the scent of Gorons but not so much with Hylians, despite how much travel the mountain sees. Perhaps his companion will have a better chance at staying undetected with him at a distance. Once Dormagoro found perfect spot to hunker down, he curled up and hid among several boulders comparable to his size. Meanwhile, the warning from the ninja proved to be right, for three Dodongos managed to trudge up the place where they fought the Lizalfos.
The creatures seem alert as they nosed around. One of them chomped up the defeated Lizalfos while the other two paced around for a bit. They didn't who what they were looking for but they had a scent. Unfortunately, they weren't one to track prey due to the lumbering size. This was most opportune for Phoebe to take notes while Dormagoro remained relatively safe out of harm's way.
