The two magical balls, shadow and light, flew perfectly in sync towards their target. A magical chain seemed to attach between them, pulling them together and forming them into a massive destructive blast, half shadow, half light. It was part of the reason that Leon had picked Crystal as his guard -- they worked so well together with their opposing forces. It was strange, really. Opposites made for quite the bang.
The blasts collided with their target, sending moblins this way and that, blood and entrails flying all over the place. Leon scowled, though his white outfit remained yet unstained by the blast and the remaining corpses left in its wake. He knew ordering Crystal to abandon him to protect his sisters would be pointless - she'd die for Leon and Leon alone, he knew that. It was her sworn duty as a member of the Royal Guard.
Leon said nothing when Nexus spoke to him about his tactics. He didn't have time to argue military strategy with the Zora, though he had a point. But it appeared Nexus was the one in the wrong, however. Leon's goal had never been to win this fight -- that was suicide. Leon's goal was to buy time for the civilians to get to safety and wait for the rest of the army to arrive. If they got the civilians to the northern part of the gate, they could shut it and the Knights would make swift work of the enemy forces.
While few in number, the elite knights of Hyrule were among the strongest warriors in the land. There was no force they could not defeat. And speaking of which, it appeared they were arriving right on time. Leon turned towards the advancing warriors, his normally soft-spoken, polite voice becoming loud and booming over the area so he was heard.
"My faithful knights, hear my call! Protect the civilians, and form a defensive line! Strike down any Monster that tries to get past! Once the civilians are safe, fan out in groups and attack! I shall know my enemies by the bloodied stains you leave in your wake! No monster is to leave here alive -- Kill them all! Any resistance you encounter is to be crushed!" He shouted, hoping to use his orders to give the knights the inspiration they needed, before he saw something.
Someone was accosting his little sister. His eyes widened, and he rushed towards the assailant with a murderous rage in his eyes. Another magical orb formed in his hand as his eyes glowed with the light of his lineage, and he rushed past Marianne. "Get away from my sister, you bastard!" He shouted in a rage, before stuffing the orb right into the assassin's chest, causing the beasts chest cavity to be blown open from the front, blood and organ tissue painting the walls behind him.
Quickly, he'd turn to Marianne, taking her hand. "Sister!" He'd cry, worried. "Are you okay? Did the beast harm you?!"
