It was even still following him.
Though, well, of course it was. For better or worse, he'd helped eliminate its entire, former pack. And then it was him -- another canine variety of monster -- that was to guide it out of its den, never to see its actual parents since... whichever of the several white wolfos had been such. Never minding that the rather young white wolfos was in fact a little larger than the keaton, and very distinctly different in appearance besides -- a wider muzzle, shorter ears, white fur to the keaton's gold, and only one tail -- it was still the one that was contently enough following along behind.
In spite of the occasional bit of scolding on the way along the field; in favor of the bit of food the keaton had managed to retrieve. Though he'd had to at least do that much; he wasn't cruel, after all, even if he could be rather uncaring.
He also wasn't much a fan of wandering out in the open... but with the noise the white wolfos cub occasionally made, it couldn't much be helped. Either for being spotted, or being spotted by a roaming guard not too far from the city, at that.
"Yes, yes. Don't bother with the weapon, and just let us pass. I'm on my way back to the Princess, you know," Revyn sighed, fixing eyes on the guard... and grumbling slightly as he had to rest a tail over the wolfos's snout to quiet it for now, only to let out a somewhat pained little sound as it petulantly bit down a little on it. A little creature that may as well have actually been related to him... probably.
"That's what you say, but how am I supposed to believe a little monster like you? And what about that?" the guard retorted, just to point a finger at the wolfos cub.
"This one? They're mine, of course, and they're coming along with me," the keaton perfectly confidently replied, in spite of the very uncertain expression that came across the guard's face.
"'Yours'...?" he asked.
"What... is that a problem, then? Is there anyone else I can talk to to just get back into the city without any more trouble?" Revyn huffed in turn, a bit more loudly in case there were others around that might be able to offer some sort of aid... he hoped. "And you. I've said already, easy with the teeth," he added after a moment, turning back to the young wolfos to press a front paw to its snout, trying to push it at least a little off his tail.
