Phima felt the Kokiri thump her open palm upon the back of her head. "Hmmm?!" she exclaimed in a flurry of bubbles as she twisted her head to the side.
Saphe had sent an arrow forth toward the entrance of the temple and, sure enough, whatever swarm was left guarding the front was blown to pieces at the point of impact, or stunned from the residual effect.
There it was! Their opening!
Phima motioned her hands to the other Zora and diverted her course in a beeline for the temple entrance. They passed through the smaller decimated group of Skullfish and passed into the large tunnel into the temple.
From there, they continued to swim with as much speed as they could muster, paying no mind to the large Shell Blades that populated the floor. The Skullfish behind them continued to give chase, yet some diverted away to attack the giant clams, devouring the strand of muscle that held the carapaces together.
Soon, the corridor began to incline until it led straight up. One could see the surface of the water, an opening to a room. Upon seeing it, Phima began to accelerate until she had breached, landing upon a solid floor.
The room they had arrived to was dark, with naught but bioluminescent algae growing upon the rounded bevel walls. A double curled staircase lay ahead of them, and a large door stood at its top.
"That was unnatural!" Phima remarked as she placed Saphe on the ground, "Never in my life had this one seen Skullfish of that magnitude! And they even ate Shell Blades! They NEVER eat Shell Blades!" Her hands had reached the sides of her head as her eyes were wide in shock, "There is something truly amiss here! Very, very amiss!"
As she spoke, however, the doors at the top of the staircase began to creak open. The sounds of chittering echoed through the chamber as clacking footsteps entered the room.
Phima's voice immediately dropped, and her spear was quickly procured from her back.
Three Dinolfos began to round the staircases, one on the left, two on the right. Their eyes glowed eerily in the dark, and bladed weapons glinted with the light of the algae...
However, it seemed as though they didn't quite see them yet.
