Everything you ask for, nothing is above me
I'm shining like a candle in the dark
when you tell me that you love me

It was still rather early in the morning, one day and one night after the conclusion of Starlight Festival. But in Queen Marianne's reception room, a medium-sized room adjacent to Hyrulean Throne Room and dominated by a large oak table, activities were already buzzing. This room had been used by her when she was still a princess slowly taking over her brother's duties. And even now that she was still rightfully the Queen she still refused to use the Throne Room. The Golden Crown of Hyrule sat poignantly on the empty Throne Seat, flanked by two Royal Guards at all time. While inside her reception room, the Queen wore her silver Princess Tiara.
Yet, it did not lessen her status in the eyes of ministers and dignitaries already flocking in and around the room. The Queen had been strangely quiet and reclusive ever since she returned from Arbiter's Ground, worrying the whole castle. But it seemed something good happened during the night of Starlight Festival, and now The Queen did her daily duties with renewed vigor. From the smiling guards to the reassured faces of the councilors, the air of hope and relief was evident in the whole castle.
Their Queen, their only leader, had fully returned.
"...That concludes my report for Starlight Festival." Councillor Folstaff the head of the project said, closing his parchment and bowed respectfully. "I must say, Your Majesty, that, with all respects to our current situation, the Festival has been a resounding success. Your people hailed your name."
On her chair, flanked by her aide Evanidus and one of her most trusted minister Lord Haakon, Queen Marianne waved her hand. "It was not entirely my idea, so the members of the Council deserve the recognition, too. Please make sure that they receive my gratitude."
Of course, gratitude in politics rarely meant a simple thanks. To that end the Councillor bowed once again. "Her Majesty's generosity knows no bounds."
'Her Majesty....' thought Marianne, as the Councillor took his leave, 'I still hate how that sounds on me....'
"While we are on the topic of Councillors, Your Majesty," Lord Haakon said, picking up a parchment from one of the scribes and read it through his long nose, "Councillor Darrin leaked to us that Lord Attenboro is gathering support to challenge our sixth draft of Land Valuation Act. He might attempt to initiate judicial review on how it applies to his land in the Council Meeting this afternoon...."
"Again?" sighed Marianne, tapping her fingers on the table, "Our land is under siege by Twilight and he is attempting to challenge this long overdue proposal again?" Wordlessly, Evanidus picked a law tome, as if anticipating her liege's needs. Her Majesty did not need it. "Part Two Section Ten Subsection Nine clearly stated. 'On and after the date on which the Erst valuation under this Act in any district is specified by the order as coming into force every valuation made under the Valuation Act shall cease to have effect in respect of such district and the provisions of that Act shall cease to apply to land in such district'. It has been ratified in our last Council Meeting and no objection can change that."
"Yes, Your Majesty. Councillor Darrin is not sure himself, but Lord Attenboro might try to use our amendments of Part Two Section Ten Subsection Eleven -the next point, if I may. 'A fresh valuation shall be begun in each district as near as may be five years after the date fixed by the Commissioner under section Eight for the first valuation for that district and as near as may be on every fifth anniversary of such date thereafter' " He sighed. "With the uncertain wording in the last Land of Suspended Privilege Law, Lord Attenboro and his supporters might dispute the date we set to count our five years for Land Valuation Act."
Queen Marianne leaned back on her chair, pressing her forehead with her fingers. "That is... actually a valid move from our dear Lord.... I shall look into it. Miss Eva?"
"I shall schedule a roundtable discussion this morning, Your Majesty."
Marianne smiled. Swift and decisive. Evanidus was really an invaluable member of her entourage. "My gratitude, Miss Eva."
The door to her room opened once more. Marianne, expecting a delegation from Termina's Fishermen Union, straightened her back.
