S'Urltl was a name well known throughout the channels of merchants, businesspersons alike. They were a nomadic family with no known, permanent territory, but they had their name. The family was recognized their crests. The S'Urltl carried the wizened Sea Turtle as a symbol of their age and world traveling ways. They were a Zoran peoples originally from Holodrum. Its shell was decorated with a brilliant mosaic of greens and blues that represented the rivers, each shape a land they had dedicated routes with. Four out of the five of the shell's scale were painted in, the fifth, empty one atop believed to be where the S'Urltl territory was located. The L'Urltl family had the persevering Land Turtle whose shell was painted in earthy browns and greys representing their more landbound duties within the family. Together the houses' crests combined to create a single flag.
They sold goods that were coveted by all races: textiles. Cloth alone was not sold, but hand/fin woven goods was traded by the family between merchants. There were also world goods such as small patches of land bought from farmers struggling during, sometimes suspicious, droughts. There was also crops produced by said lands, and traditional Zora crafts also reproduced and sold to tourists, and other questionable groups. Textile trade, while their expertise, was not their only investment…
Nexus has used his connections to build repertoire with individuals who felt the same pressures he was bound by in his reality. While they perceived a disproportionate divide between classes, they were exactly where Zora like him could profit. Their ignorance and his money allowed him to usurp power, but to keep it he needed to control change and make it seem as if there is a progressive change.
Today he sat in the throne room in forum. Two figures stood to debate before. A noble woman who worried for the sanctity of their way of life. Many laborers, who were often located out in the waterways and Lake Hylia, had crowded in their main sanctuary, creating noise pollution and too much traffic. The other was a laborer who felt he had as much right to be in the main pools as anyone else. The king was not decorated in expensive gems, or upon a throne of the finest seastone. He sat upon an average stone carved seat, the only jewelry decorating his body was that which he had gathered and carved himself.
