 | For too long, the cucco species have been enslaved, harvested for their eggs, used as alarm clocks and worse — beat on for sport. Even taking self defense courses and learning to attack in flocks to become the most dangerous group animal in Hyrule historia has not stopped cats from trying to make a meal of them, monsters from trying to stomp on them, and so-called adventurers trying to hack at them with their meak little swords before dashing off in a fit of laughter as the cucco flock to defend themselves. Some poor souls have been taught a lesson but it has not deterred the masses. Now it is time for the all-powerful Great Cucco Wizard to take the next step. It is time for the world to learn… … What it is like to be a Cucco. Maybe you sell off Cucco eggs at your personal farm. Maybe you kicked one by accident while strolling through Hyrule City. Or maybe you've been an absolute saint and the Great Cucco Wizard got confused. What matters is that an attempt to see the sights from atop the tower overlooking Lake Hylia would prove to be an experience that you would surely like to forget. Three figures stood atop the tower. And three were shoved off by an unseen force, sent sprawling through the air as the waters of Lake Hylia grew closer by the second. As if by an uncontrollable impulse, you began to flap your arms as though it might save you from a harsher landing. But there were no arms to flap. Only little feathery stubs. As you hit the water, you find your body to be unusually buoyant and you float up to the surface with relative ease. You are also much smaller. You also find that you can now see your nose, which you may notice now resembles a pecker more than a human nose. As the moments pass, you slowly realize that you are no longer man, but Cucco. |
