Marianne Crescentia de Hyrule
Who is she
Meet Marianne, the half princess of Hyrule! (its hush-hush). One of the more visibly active Royals, Marianne is pretty much hands-on in helping her brother govern the realm, unlike your typical princess. She is intelligent and knowledgeable, and her insight is greatly sought after in governmental matters. She makes it her business to review almost all important decisions (which is a chore) having enough backup to veto whatever she finds wanting, and isn't afraid to use her thick political clout and blackmail materials to keep nobles and commoners alike in line (which she likes to do, especially on blatant injustice). So yes, she is a pretty big deal.
Behind the mask, though, she really is just a sweet, curious girl who happens to shoulder more responsibilities than she ought to, and an idealistic maiden longing for unconditional love.
If your characters have grievances they'd like the royal family to know, or an endeavor to be funded, or simply think the law is not accommodating enough for their illustrious pedigree, Marianne is your best bet! She is interested in magical theorem, archaeology, engineering, agriculture, medical advances, history, linguistics, genealogy, wildlife, war strategy, city planning -and many things, really. So if your character is interested in one of these things, hit her up and see where the conversation leads!

How to meet
Although generally busy, Marianne is surprisingly easy to interact with (or else her player won't be able to thread much, won't she?). On a typical day she can be found in her small reception room adjoining the throne room, where she hosts important delegates. It has gained quite a reputation for being the second epicenter of the realm. Otherwise approach her during one of her many official visits to various places in Hyrule (we can always cook up some excuses) or catch her when she inevitably sneaks out on her own (ask Chaska Or Revyn , but Revyn is usually her partner-in-crime so won't betray her so easily). Ancient ruins, old battlefields, or other mystical places are the best place to set up a meeting.
If your character knows Leon El Hyrule or is a noble themselves, then congrats! You have easy access to her. Dormagoro , Josh Dragelion , and Pallin are also important to her, so their acquaintances get free pass, and you only need a letter from Rularu Groupan or @solveig or other leaders of the realm to request an audience. Also tell her if you see Sir Tart somewhere! Finally, if your character even remotely knows Ursula von Brandt then Marianne will talk to you, regardless of social status. She is very important to her, though lately there seem to be a distance between them, which makes Marianneand her writer sad. Maybe there are other pupils he'd rather meet with *sad noises
Anyway, Marianne can be put in many situations you'd like your characters to be in! Barring blatantly illegal activitiesbut who knows.

What to do
Here's a wish list of what I'd love to try with Marianne. Let me know if your ideas align. or if you have any other ideas!
- Do your characters have an organization that needs funding? A startup perhaps? Or simply want to be able to put "By Appointment to HRH Princess of Hyrule" in front of their business? Pitch your ideas to Marianne and she might grant it!
- (PAST THREAD) Marianne has a lonely childhood. Sometimes her dark powers went out of control and it was bad. So imagine this scene. A rainy evening. The wilds. A little girl wearing dress that clearly is not made for travel can be seen crying on the roadside, not knowing how she gets there. Any character saving her will hold a special place in her heart.
- Related to the above, what if they meet again now? Will Marianne still remember the face? Will they still remember each other?
- Do your characters know a particular magic or have invented a scientific breakthrough? Marianne might hear about their exploit and visit their abode, wherever it may be.
- I'd love Marianne to be able to learn to cook from a veritable master! She has not cooked her entire life (nobles have chefs) but she is secretly fascinated by it. After all, cooking is chemical reactions made to taste!
- Take her fishing somewhere. She might get ideas or being dragged to a completely unrelated adventure.
- Gossip~ What is a noble lady without a healthy dose of court gossip. Lets talk all afternoon while being posh about it.
- Has the legal court dismayed your character? Or is your character the one pursuing justice in the court? Marianne is one of the junior High Judges so I'd love a chance to roleplay Hyrule court proceedings!
- Marianne is secretly the daughter of The Queen with another man (see this thread for an overview of The Great Disturbance) She is always eager to meet the veterans of that war. Perhaps your character knew his father personally?
- (PAST THREAD) Marianne enrolled in Hyrule Magic Academy for a short time (the children of nobles were tutored separately a la Alexander the Great's childhood friends and Aristotle) but no one wanted to be her friend. It would be interesting to play her when she was still in her formative years.
- Will add more as more ideas come along!
I am not particularly active in Discord group, so please leave a post here or just PM me directly if you have any ideas! Thanks for reading! ^^
