Screams in the night, echoes that fell dead in the snow, nobody and nothing around to hear them but the beasts he fought with for territory and food. Usually that's what he would hear, as humans tried to debate on how they could catch him off guard. Little did they know that The Nameless One didn't sleep. Their greatly feared target saw them coming, no, smelled them coming from a mile away.

All it took was heavy prowling, his scarred body marked from attempts from other hunters and a powerful cry into the night to send them packing. They were cowards, compared to the rest, but much more intent on keeping their life. Good. The bad? They saw him, more eyes to add to the rumor that the great beast was truly "more than a mere White Wolfos".

Reality was, he was just a twisted looking White Wolfos with a... fuck. Whatever he was before this brain. Shaking his head, the wolf sat with a posture that seemed monstrous. No pride, no sitting upright, but rather, hunched over and growling as the sun rose. More sleepless nights, he'd have to stay that way.

His long ears flicked, listening for the tale tell crunching of snow caused by something other than beast. With people having so freshly ran away, he'd have to be on guard for hunters that came tracking the freshest trail.

Beneath the hefty veil of whipping snow, a single red ember broke the late night's darkness. A single, heavy puff of smoke was released freely into the air. The scent of the burning hyrule herb could be smelled from merely a few yards away, but the holder of the wrapped blunt could care less.
Yunna hoisted up her pack over her shoulders as she trudged on, stomping her way through the snow. The gentle light of the moon began to dissipate as dawn threatened to break, yet the wind never ceased scraping at her freckled face. She muttered silent curse words that carried carelessly into the gale as she struggled onward, cursing this cold, cursing these thick, awful winter clothes, for not checking the weather, and quite honestly just not preparing for motherfucking SNOWPEAK.

Of course, she was not just here for exploration; our friendly neighborhood witch was on a mission.

"Where are these godsdamned truffles?" She hissed beneath her blunt, the only thing bringing her warmth at the moment. She longed to be home beneath her hearth, making a batch of her Grandmama's soup. These truffles were the last thing she needed for her trip, and they were some of the rarest items on her list. As day finally began to break, and the morning sun began to lighten the sky, the witch finally came to a stop and sighed. Still not a truffle in sight.

She wondered about the recent rumors of the White Wolfos sighting as she began to make her way back to Zora's Domain, unbeknownst to her how truly deep into Snowpeak she had travelled. She had never been very good with directions, anyway.

He smelled it, he heard it. Another damn human in Snowpeak for whatever forsaken reason they had to be out here. The Wolfos let out a low growl, ears flicking at the voice and his nose twitching at the smell before looking to where she was coming from. A very different smell, one that he had only picked up on one or two other hunters that came through. Still hunter. Still a fucking human.

So with a snarl, the Wolfos waited until he could see the human, near crazed eyes staring at where she was coming from before she finally appeared and he dashed into the edges of the snow storm, easily slipping in and out of the deep snow for cover. He began watching her. If he had heard right, she was talking about truffles, but he couldn't trust that. He couldn't trust anything.

So he opted to watch her a bit further, the snow barely disturbed where he was sitting but there were also trees where he was at. Typical little hot spots for truffles and the perfect way to watch his pre- this human to see what they were truly out here for.

Yunna could have sworn that she felt... something. At the same time, she was too distracted by her annoyances to be bothered by any outside forces. By the time morning broke, her blunt had well and gone out. She sighed and muttered to herself, something along the lines of "... The shit I go through for you divine assholes..." as she packed the butt of her herb away, into a small sack of yet even more hyrule herb. As if nature itself had responded, the wind kicked up and pushed the witch, causing her to lose balance and topple face-first into the snow.

"Assholes!" is what she yelled as she sat back up, shivering. Her hat had disappeared into the deep trenches of white fluff, leaving her floor length, snow-coloured hair to whip helplessly in the wind. "... So much for truffle hunting..." She muttered to herself. What she needed was a warm spot to call home for a few hours... Whether it was a cave or even just a covered spot to deal with her hair and roll up yet another batch of herb.

She scanned around, trying to look past the blizzard to find something, anything, whatever kind of shelter she could find. She even looked directly at her predator, but he blended in so well that she had not noticed his presence. Off in the distance, though, she saw the spires of what seemed like a.... tower? Building? Maybe the Hyrule soldiers had a garrison out there...

The White Wolfos watched the woman carefully from the edges of the snow, standing stock still, fur flowing with the wind and blending him further into the backdrop. She seemed to have missed him, either her eyesight was poor or she wasn't out here scanning for the hints of Wolfos. She mentioned truffles again so maybe she really was struggling.

As she spotted a building, he used the time of her looking away from him to stalk away from her. Low to the ground, ears back, eyes trained on her, he made his way to a slightly farther off tree and started digging. He knew damn well he was making noise but if she wasn't bright enough to bring food that wouldn't freeze solid, stuff for shelter and more, then she definitely wasn't prepared to take on a Wolfos.

That didn't mean he trusted her. Only that she showed signs of not being a hunter so maybe he couldn't uncover the easy to scent truffles for her and get her off the mountain faster. After digging, he backed away from the hole and with a sharp bark to get her attention, stood next to the tree he had dug near, making sure to stay back in the edges of the snow, a good distance.
