There was calm in the air. The morning dew had come and gone, the luminescent spores that lazily rode the breath of the forest leapt and bound as the forest grounds buzzed with life. Although, it were not simple creatures, but rather that of children - Kokiri in a matter of fact - along with their native friends the Korok and Deku. Some sat upon the wooden awning of their tree-stump homes, some gave chase to another while the rest carried on with their daily tasks. It wasn't hard work, per se, but things that might be considered light chores just to keep the children in line with some sense of responsibility. There were tiny gardens that needed to be attended, sap to collect and homes to be dusted. Many of the children did not like the chores but Folus was a tough nut and had instilled the virtues of a clean home within the children just had he done so with the Deku and Korok.
Saphe particularly despised cleaning but luckily, she was the boss and gave the task to Sip, Sap and Sop - the Know-It-All Sisters - for being a pain in the butt. The girls had a bad habit of leaving all the dirty work to the Korok and while that was fine and dandy for them, Saphe wasn't going to let them treat the Koroks like manservants. They were better than that but sometimes Saphe had to bring down the hammer. She didn't like doing it, mainly for the reason that most of all the children call her a big meanie, but she largely ignored it. Grandfather watched over them all and she wasn't going to have him disappointed in his children - all of them.
The Kokiri Boss stood atop of her own home, brushing away some old cobwebs that was left behind by Gertrude, a small spider she named. Gertrude was harmless enough, but she had a knack for leaving a mess, especially when it came to her meals. It was rare to find Spahe home, nonetheless within their sanctuary hidden away from the world. Everyone knew she usually comes home from time to time but still surprised to find her there. Saphe was a wild one, definitely unorthodox on the way she handled the work of being the boss. But all the children agreed it was rather her to be the one to deal with Folus, who they also try to avoid for being a bit too austere for their taste. Honestly, they just wanted to play, wallow in the mud and catch fireflies.
