For the Wolves (Anastasia, Quest)

"Mm? Ah, something like that, is it?" Revyn chuckled lightly, glancing back to Anastasia, at least for a moment. "A keaton, simply speaking. I'd dare say we can go into a bit more detail shortly," he added, casual as could be even in the face of... what he could only assume to be the remaining alpha of the little pack of white wolfos. There had to be one if they were out of their normal territory like this, didn't there?

"For the moment, then... one more to deal with. Shall we start with that icy ground trick of yours, once I have it occupied?" he suggested.

Yet, though the larger wolfos was starting to take steps forward, its eyes, unlike the others, flicked cautiously between Revy and Anastasia. A bit more of a problem than the others, the keaton was certain... though calm as he himself appeared in also stepping forward, he certainly didn't show it. At least until the wolfos suddenly snapped out toward him, causing the keaton to draw back slightly before shifting off a bit to the side... then quickly beneath, earning one more little scratch, as it followed by pouncing out toward him.

Something of a slip... that much would do, even for the larger wolfos's claws scrabbling a little at the now icy ground before it ultimately fell on its side. Not for terribly long, perhaps... but long enough to at least offer the keaton a little time. Though he knew full well it wouldn't really do much, he still could build up an orb of water between his tails, firing it out right to the wolfos's face in time for a slight yelp and another slip.

Clever it may have been, Revyn could admit... but he was still more so.

"I'm not much of a mind to retry that previous stunt, I confess," he thoughtfully hummed, rather unperturbed by the lower growl rumbling through the wolfos as it rose steadily back up to its feet. "But perhaps... a bit of revenge to keep it busy," he mused, allowing himself a little chuckle before quickly enough darting forward, faster than the wolfos would be able to react while still on the ice. Rather than the neck this time, it was the tail that the keaton's fangs instead dug into, enough to draw a pained yelp out of the rather larger canine... though this one he'd not be able to hold onto for long, he well enough knew.

A bit of hanging on... well, just a bit, really. Hardly was he really built for anything like this -- much less for strength -- and though the wolfos wasn't to effectively reach him with its teeth, hardly was that its only option.

A bit more hanging on, then, was about Revyn's limit for this particular stunt, before it came to one of the wolfos's back feet planting into his chest in one last effort to get what was likely seen as a pest off. A successful enough one, no less, in spite of the loss of a small chunk of fur and a bit more as the keaton was sent stumbling back. Now especially, he could certainly wish he'd just left well enough alone like he'd insisted on his trip to this land of Hyrule that he was supposed to, but... a bit late now, wasn't it?

"Really now... I suppose some might say I deserve this," the keaton muttered with a slight sigh, his eyes flicking up to the wolfos that was now moving a fair bit slower thanks to the damage it had accumulated so far. "Well, no matter. Just one more, I'd dare say," he offered. Even if he couldn't do much, then... he could still fire off one more, quick water orb back to the wolfos's face. Not enough, still, to actually hurt the thing, but enough to stall it once more.

Right... then that, it seemed, would be the end of it. At least, Revyn hoped; he had at least some intrinsic canine knowledge, after all, and there usually wasn't more than one that could be considered something like an 'alpha'. And since no others had since shown up... that would surely have to be it.

"Mm? I don't see why you should..." he started to speak, before those long ears of his perked up to the same sound it appeared the zora caught, an annoyed grumble escaping the keaton as he picked himself carefully back up to his feet... and not just from the dull pain of the several spots he'd gotten hit by either a wolfos or the ground.

"Now isn't this quite the issue. I suppose it's best not to leave it alone, so... it would not, perhaps, be out of the question for you zora to take some companions, hm?" he suggested with a little chuckle, perhaps not fully seriously... but he knew the sound of cubs, and someone would need to do something about them. Still, a slight sigh escaped him all the same as he started to lead the way toward the sound, and likely two cubs, if his nose wasn't mistaken. He wasn't much looking forward to this... but perhaps they'd be young enough to not be aggressive.

"Mm. Perhaps so, I suppose," Revyn mused, though he didn't really want to think on it too much. Not just because their own habits probably weren't terribly far off from his own growing up... besides a few key points like learning to speak, and other such behavior.

Now, then... the little clearing was simple enough, at least, though he couldn't immediately spot the telltale sight of white fur, even within the little den they'd likely had no small part in digging out. Exhaling a slight hum, he calmly wandered into the den they'd made for themselves -- an easy task, for as small in stature as he was -- only to... rather unsurprisingly to him, spot that the wolfos cubs about matched him in size, to say nothing for how much larger they'd be than him when they grew up. And only two of them, he found... perhaps Anastasia could just take them back home, or something. He doubted it would be that difficult.

"I wonder, then, if you should..." he turned and started to speak, just to rather suddenly pause... to something of a playful little growl behind him, no less. And something very certainly gripping a little at the end of his tail. "Yes, well... I might have expected that, hm?" the keaton sighed, glancing back to the certainly not guilty-looking white wolfos cub. Before he could speak again, though, the cub was upon him... rather literally, enough to bring him to the ground out of being not prepared, rather than the fairly little difference in weight they shared.

"I suppose I can consider myself lucky they're still small," he muttered. "You wouldn't happen to be able to... pluck this one off me, would you?"

Good... that at least was dealt with, the keaton was satisfied to feel once he could pick himself once again back up to his feet. Had he been in better shape, a simple nip could probably have solved it, but as it was, he was certainly still smarting. Would likely be for a few days after this ordeal.

"Well, they are still young; likely not even a month old yet," he thoughtfully hummed, glancing over to the cub that yet remained in the little den now that one of them had been extricated. More so from him than from the den. "You as well, come along now," he spoke up, not minding the somewhat cautious eyes that fixed on him even as he wandered along to give it a little nudge with his nose, prompting it to at least get up and start walking along out of the den and sniffing around a little, before pushing right back near Revyn himself. In no small part just because he was another canine -- if a rather different one -- the keaton could only guess.

"I might suggest, though... that you go ahead and move them along somewhere before they attach themselves to me. I may not be a wolfos, but I am still a canine; they may well be young enough to not mind the difference," he suggested, pressing a front paw into the closer cub's head a little to try and draw it away from his trio of tails it was starting to sniff around, only for it to lay on the ground almost expectantly. Was he anything like this as a cub...? Well, maybe, maybe not... but that wasn't the place for his thoughts to be drifting right now.

Well, so they said. Didn't stop another annoyed little sound escaping the keaton, in spite of the tiny little flicks of the white wolfos cub's ears. Sure, certainly, he was more than old enough to serve as something of a parent... but this? It might, perhaps, be one thing if it was one of his own kin he'd somehow come across here, but a wolfos?

"Stalfos bones, or something of the sort, then; plenty to keep them occupied for some time, if you need to," he idly suggested, curiously giving a little nudge of his nose to the side of the cub that had laid itself on the ground, practically by his direction... only for it to roll somewhat awkwardly to its side. Was it just because he was a fellow canine...? Honestly... this was the last sort of thing he needed when he'd gotten himself involved in this matter at all. Exhaling a slight sigh, Revyn mumbled to himself for a moment before glancing off briefly to where the other wolfos lay, then off in the direction of Hyrule City. This could... be an issue, but he did have certain ways around it.

"I suppose I don't have a choice, then, do I," he muttered. "Well, for now, let's move along; no need to stay here when there's the open fields, and home, to get back to, hm?" he suggested. Well... and their now deceased pack that he'd prefer them simply not to see. Never minding that as he started to walk, the cub nearby snapped back up to attention and started to trail along behind him. No choice, really...
