Fairy Rings (Oh Nopen)

Some days, Marianne just had to try to get away from it all.

It had been non-stop duty for the princess ever since her return. Amendments of laws, restructuring of military, re-allocation of kingdom budgets, and even a new system of measurement all was tackled by the diligent princess. Her kingdom was in quite a dire situation when she found it, but after a few months it seemed that things were getting back to shape, although far far far from what it used to be. But it was a start, and the feeling that she was needed kept the princess going through sleepless nights and exhaustive days, all for her beloved kingdom. She was, after all, widely acclaimed as one of the most capable minds in the whole of Kingdom.

But even the most devout could sometimes feel as if her life was a chore, and this was what Marianne felt today. After spending the whole morning visiting to one of the noble families' estate in Central Hyrule Field to discuss a few things concerning the regulation of nearby fishing grottoes, the princess opted to stay for the night in her host's manor rather than returning to Hyrule Castle so soon. And this was how she found the time for a leisurely walk on Central Hyrule Field this fine afternoon, close to the noble family's land. The sun had begun its slow descent towards the west, casting a warm glow on the beautiful field, while refreshing autumn breeze caressed the princess hair and lightly swayed her crimson cloak, as always held in place on her left shoulder by her ruby brooch. She was wearing a long, comfortable robe fitting for such an outing, with voluminous fabric on the lower part and a rather loose sleeves paired with a medium collar. Bothe were embroidered with rose pattern, Her Highness' favorite flower, and as always she chose varying shades of red as the main theme.

And as her feet brought her across the waving grasses of Hyrule Field, her mind inadvertently wandered back to her daily chores...to her unfinished projects and new taxes set to be changed. She also thought of the search for Twilight Mirror, which was being organized, and how she wondered what they would find then. Also came to her the strange rumors of monsters and tainted places, and her own insecurities at handling the throne, her absent siblings, her lonely days, death threats....

Which was why when she came across an almost perfect circle of acorns with only one acorn missing, she absentmindedly picked an acorn nearby that seemed too tantalizing to be left and promptly completed the full circle of acorns. Order was what Marianne loved well, no matter how her own powers were seen as chaotic to some, so such a thing felt natural for her. And what a a pretty circle of acorns they made! Wonder who made them here....

"Oh!" was the princess surprised response, and it soon turned to genuine smile as Floot launched itself into a rendition of Saria's Song. To be honest it was a terrible, terrible rendition. But there was delight in finding the unknown -and that delight was clear in Marianne's expression.

Delight...yes, delight and curiosity as to who this fellow Floot was. But she was not about to ask, for fear of interrupting the rather... charming... song.

That is, until the the who called itself Floot turned around and started dispensing Korok Seed. The poor princess. In her shock she could only raised her arms for protection while stepping several steps, perhaps in her attempt to at least lessened the pain of from the attack. "Why do you attack me?" she said, although perhaps she should have took the clue and ran. Some people are too clueless or too curious for their own good. That is the fact of nature. "Have I disturbed you? I am sorry!" Oh and she even found the heart to apologize, despite the attack she received. Such a well-mannered lass.

Toot n' poot. It seems this creature -called a Korok, might I remind you- has some interesting vocabulary. The princess can only assume that it likes playing around. From the display of flute vurtuoso and it's rendition of Saria's song, however, that assumption may not be far off the mark.

Knowledgeable as the princess is, she still mistakes things a few time. In this moment she thinks she might have mistaken a friendly gesture as an attack. Many creatures have their own way of socializing. The Korok Seed might indeed been a friendly gesture.
