The weeks passed as fall leaves wilted into winter snow. As the other parties reported their results, it would soon be time for Hyrule's forces to converge on the Arbiter's Grounds and find the shattered Mirror of Twilight. Only when they had restored its pieces could they enter the Twilight Realm and put an end to this for good.
But for our heroes, their foray into the Forest Temple had changed the paths of all who had entered it.
Sir
Josh Dragelion was highly commended by the Royal Family upon the party’s return to Hyrule City. Knight Captain Barrett Tethras boasted openly of Dragelion’s bravery, toughness and willingness to take charge on the field in his place. Dragelion was officially credited as having led the successful venture through the Forest Temple, and the Knight’s popularity and level of respect within Hyrule’s military would rise to even greater heights. But the Royal Family was unable to hide the fact that Sir Dragelion bore a mark resembling the fabled Triforce of Courage.
Word spread fast, and Lord Dragelion would soon find his peaceful farm life to be far more noisy than before. Many marriage proposals found their way to a humble farm’s mailbox. All of which were rejected.
The Princess
Marianne de Hyrule was met with horror at the injuries she suffered during the expedition, and understandably the Royal Family would be hesitant on allowing her to endanger herself again in the future. Luckily, both Knight Captain Tethras and Sir Dragelion vouched for her efforts, which calmed matters a little. Despite her reckless abandon and inexperience as a field combatant, their citing her ability to handle herself prevented a complete and total grounding on King Leon’s part. Though with the condition that she would be unable to leave Hyrule City without either permission or an escort for some time. The King’s orders were absolute.
In better news for our dear Princess, the Royal Family allowed her to keep the monkey named Donna. A specialist was soon hired to teach Marianne how to properly take care of it.
Lady
Ursula von Brandt did not return after her disappearance. While the Royal Family commended her sacrifice, she obviously could not receive said praise and commendation if she wasn’t here. Search parties were sent to the farthest reaches of the Kingdom, hoping that she had perhaps been transported somewhere. Unfortunately, Lady Ursula was nowhere to be found regardless of their efforts. While the Royal Family and the University of Magic held out hope that Ursula might still return even after a month had passed… They had begun seeking out any living relatives of the potentially-late Professor. A service would be prepared if she was not found.
The peculiar @vladimir had previously been viewed by the Royal Family with scrutiny after the incident involving the nobleman. But despite his arguments with Her Highness, he was praised highly to the royal court by both Knight Captain Tethras, and Lord Dragelion. Past incidents were quickly forgiven due to this, and any debts between Vladimir and the Lady Ursula for her intervention in his skirmish with the nobleman were forgiven in the eyes of the Royal Family. At the behest of Tethras and Dragelion, as Vlad did not serve the Royal Family as a job, Vladimir was rewarded a large bag of rupees before his return to Kakariko Village. Though before his departure, he would be approached by a Knight sent by King Leon himself -- Sir Dragelion. Josh had questions regarding the incident with the nobleman, and hoped to look into it himself. After a short conversation, the Knight wished Vladimir well as the Sheikah returned to Kakariko Village for a well-needed respite
But perhaps unbeknownst to the Sheikah, a certain baboon was not far behind...
The Royal Guard
Chaska was heralded by officials for her work in protecting Her Highness even in a high-pressure, danger-filled environment that had arose out of the blue. Her prowess on the field even while protecting her quarry had also become a common topic of discussion throughout the military barracks in the weeks that followed. Some whispered that the Knights had taken some interest in Chaska, were she ever interested. Some officials even talked of the Royal Family possibly naming her “Lady Chaska'' should her deeds continue to impress. One thing was for sure. The Sheikah’s loyalty to the crown was undisputed.
The mysterious Darknut
Sir Tart , was deemed a friend to Hyrule for its service to the Royal Family in the Forest Temple. It would now be allowed to walk openly through Hyrule City and other settlements without threat of being attacked. But while it had aided them, its previous corruption by the Mirror of Twilight did not go without consequences. While the party decided to keep the fact that Sir Tart had injured Marianne hush for its own safety, members of the military had been ordered to keep watch on Sir Tart whenever it ventured into town. It may have earned the right to walk amongst them as a citizen of Hyrule, but the possibility that Sir Tart could be brainwashed again would not be soon forgotten.
One thing was for sure. The contributions of those who had entered the Forest Temple would not be forgotten. But Hyrule's greatest battle was yet to come...
