Marianne looked positively happy when Chaska changed her course and beckoned for her to follow. Why, she almost skipped her steps all the way! The sheikah rebuffed her plea to try cigarette before, but it seemed she relented on this one. Something new out of her usual routine was what Marianne sorely needed after that stressful meeting, and she felt Chaska would be able to provide it. Strange. Her guardian didn't seem all that old but she had a certain maturity to her, as if she had lived and experienced things most people could only imagine....
Their route took them to a rather more upscale part of Castle Town than the shanty place where the guild headquarters were located. Marianne looked around with interest, noting the shops and their names and other people who lived in the area. While the princess knew the detailed layout of her town by heart, down to how many buildings there were in a particular street, she didn't always know the minute details due to being mostly cooped in inside the castle. So, an excursion of this was always an opportunity to learn. Already she noticed a lamp which had not been alighted and several holes in the pavements. This would need to be addressed. Fast.

A florist who was just closing his shop smiled at them as they passed, and Marianne smiled and nodded back. Perhaps the dimness of the road obscured the details of her face.
The Busted Flagon. It was a nice looking establishment with a cozy aura, and Marianne immediately liked it. Heat from the hearth inside warmed them even from outside the door, and the small sounds of chatter and one or two laughter could be heard. There were not many people inside, but it wasn't empty either. Miss Chaska nodded towards the bartender and Marianne followed suit, thinking it was the custom in the place. And Chaska might notice that the princess had unconsciously started to walk closer to Chaska the moment they entered. Marianne was not someone who was easily frightened, but she had been told since little to always be careful and always stick to her guardian when in crowd. This Marianne took to heart.
Chaska chose a table where they could see the whole tavern, which pleased Marianne. In the table next to them were several workers looking at a poster depicting that famous band Indigo Go from Termina which one of them had brought. Apparently, they were discussing about their next concert and Marianne had her ear picking up their conversation. Oh If only she could attend. Lyndis Aoide was her idol bar none!
"So... Here we are," Chaska leaned back in the booth, "Have you ever had... alcohol before?"
"Alcoholic drinks you mean, Miss Chaska?" replied Marianne, her eyes still wandered around the new place, for her. "Sure! I've tasted, let's see Umm... mead, cider, Chateau Romani, beer, wine both of Hyrule and abroad, cherry wine from Labrynna, fermented tea, rice wine...." She stopped counting with her fingers. Apparently, being a royal meant she could taste a lot of things, "I must say that I am not very fond of alcoholic drinks, though. But I'll have what you have!"
Finishing her survey, she eased herself on her chair. "Do you come here often, Miss Chaska? This seems like a place where people would like to talk for a while."
