Appearance
Beast Form: Lion
A chiseled, broad-shouldered, and olive-skinned Gerudo of herculean proportions, Armetheo is both inspiring and intimidating to behold. His hair is likened to a flourishing mane of a lion, and his dark red hair is slicked back. He typically wears Gerudo-styled light armor and baggy slacks of the same make.
He stands at the mighty height of eight feet, and his wing span is nearly eight feet and five inches wide.
Personality
Brave: Armetheo is a bold man who is willing to take on the troubles of the world.
Determined: If he is put to a task, Armetheo would not withhold any means of completing it. The same goes for his endurance, and he is as sturdy as an oak.
Loud: If a man must be heard, let him be heard! Theo's voice projects well in any environment, and even his whispers are drown out the snores of an overweight man!
Trusting: He is a man who takes people's words as gospel, and despite being lied to many times, he hopes to find someone he can really trust.
Brash: Armetheo tends to run headlong into swathes of enemies.
Shedder: In other words, he often bares his upper body in shows of intimidation, or just plain showing off.
Berserker: As a battle wears on, Theo's mind becomes enraptured in battle, and as his rage builds, the less inclined he is toward reason.
Cook: To the surprise of many people, Theo has an exemplary palate and a culinary expertise to rival the finest chefs of Hyrule. However, he can't stomach squid nor gaze on it without trembling, no matter how it's cooked.
History
Armetheo "Theo" Barrasshu was once a figure of awe among the soldiers of the Gerudo military, and a man carrying so much promise as far as his looks were concerned. Yes, Theo could have been captain, maybe even general if he tried hard enough, but no, he knew he was no leader.Theo was raised in a proud military family, a lineage of warriors that could boast of their strength and prestige. However, unlike his brothers and sisters, who bent their knee to the crown without restraint, Theo wanted to go his own way. Despite this, he followed through with his family's wishes and enrolled in military academy, where he excelled much more in physical activity than anything else. The only thing he ever retained was the extensive vocabulary that they are taught, although he sometimes misapplies the words to things that don't quite mix.
So, how did he fall out with the military and become a wayward mercenary?
Ten years ago, Barrasshu was stationed with a squadron of ten at a small rural village, where he became quite fond of the villagers and even took time in his day to help them with their chores. However, there was a royal directive to pull back their forces back to the city, an order that Theo would not so quickly obey for the sake of the little village.
Witnesses say that he faced the onslaught of monsters on his own, armed with naught but a shield, near-limitless stamina, and the valor of a hundred men. His one-man war lasted until the night was spent, and in the morning, the village ground was littered with the bodies of many monsters, and a bruised, bloodied, and half-naked man screamed in glorious victory.
In spite of his heroic actions, he was labelled with the offense of insubordination and defiance of a higher directive, and his family disowned him.
However, this was more liberating to the berserker than anything. Theo "exiled" himself into the wilderness, and his fate became unknown to many who knew him. While it was that he acted on his own, the legend of the "Crimson Shield" was spread far and wide, as both a warning and a taboo.
The Gerudo wandered the earth aimlessly, tormented by nature for nine years until the wilds had spat him back out. Eventually, he returned to civilization as a man hardened and humbled by his tribulations, to the city of Hyrule.
Miscellaneous Information
His weapon of choice is a shield. If his shield ever breaks (which will often happen), he'll refer his opponents to his fists and whatever weapon they were initially using. However, the frame of his shield is a peculiar shape and material, but can only be bent by the strongest of men. Beyond the fact that it can be bent, no one knows what purpose it has except for Armetheo.
