personality
Meek, shy and rather quirky when it comes to magic, the fledgling Rito is a bumbling mess. He isn't well coordinated with his actions and despite his amazing field of vision, has trouble with his depth perception, which renders him uncomfortable on landing. Nonetheless, he is a excellent teacher who aims to become the headmaster of his own school and has a rather cautious yet positive outlook on his life. There is always time to speak with his friends and when it boils down to the long haul, Perci rather see his endeavors through to the end.
appearance
A fledgling with owl-like features, Percival is a tall yet slender Rito who often dresses himself in thick robes accompanied with a broach made of intricate gold inlays with a brilliant emerald centered in the crest. His robes and cloak are featherweight, often spun from light material to keep himself from heat exhaustion due to his thick snowy feathers. Of course, much of his attire is often suited for warmer climates and his travels to the cold mountains requires thicker cloaks to ward off the chill. Yet, due to his strong acclimation to the cold, its wearing clothes is more of a choice rather than necessity, as is customary with many races who interact with the Hylians. Indeed a Rito of scholarly pursuits, Percival does dress as a student of his school for magic and adventurer.
biography
Pervical was born in the Rito Village like most of his people and coming from a family with six siblings, he was considered the runt of the children. He always had to vie for his parents' attention but with his father running the clothing shop and mother a busy fletcher, it was quite a challenge when he had to compete with six other kids. So, eventually he became independent and being the third youngest, often took care of his siblings. Naturally, this wasn't easy even when his parents came home to help but it did give him a sense of responsibility. He loved helping out his brothers and sisters from time to time, often mentoring the youngest on how to sing. By the time they all were old enough to take their first flight, Percival was very supportive of his family, especially the youngest of the family, Odvall.
It was then he truly felt the freedom once he took flight and with that came an exciting new chapter in his life. Percival devoted most of his time as a helper to Idra, the assistant to the headmaster of their school and good friend of the family. It was there he learned the intricacies of magic and its various application, not to mention how to harness those abilities to enhance their flight skills. Idra was a very good flier and coming from a family of hunters, that wasn't much of a surprise. However, she made a lasting effect on Perci when it came to mentor his flying abilities and thus, he has a crush on her. This culmination of so many teachers and mentor-ship in his life finally gave him the goal of becoming the next headmaster but before he continue down that path, Perci decided on journeying far beyond home to the world below. It was only from experience he could muster up the courage and gall to take the title of headmaster and the decision to follow the call of adventure would help him along the way.
Now, in the coldest region of Snowpeak, Percival calls his humble lodging his home away from home, only to return to Rito Village every now and then to see his family and Idra. However, don't expect him to answer the cabin door in Snowpeak, for he is hardly there to greet anyone in.
miscellaneous
By the good graces and blessings from his parents, Perci has learned quite a bit in trade, especially involving the selling/fabrication of clothing and arrows. Also his tutorship under Idra has given him the edge of aerial combat, which doesn't see much use from him but nonetheless a good skill to have. Furthermore, Percival is rather invested bookworm and his personal learning of the land and history of Hyrule makes him quite the keen traveler when it comes to map knowledge.
