True happiness only comes once in a lifetime
Telma's Bar A break in a Castle Town patrol shift where earlier he had met with Tionie Green to buy some arrows, the Hylian wanted to make his way back to his farm in Ordon to rest before he got back on his feet, but unfortunately he was unable. He could have rode to Ordon, glimpsed it and rode back... And then and there his break would be over. It wasn't worth the ride, unfortunately. How he looked toward the rank of Knight... Agents of the Royal Family, men and women who weren't tied to a shift, but called upon for missions as the King and Queen desired. The Knight rank was his goal, it was far more dangerous, far more difficult and more of a threat to his life... Many soldiers who had been offered it even rejected it. Not because it was not an honour, no. But because of the risks involved. They would be directly dispatched, sometimes alone, to carry out Their Royal Majesty's will directly. But Josh was fine with the risks. To him, the ability to be able to stay and cater to his farm between missions, have proper rest and preparation, and then put his training and preparation to the test... That was perfect for him. Not this shift work. He disliked leaving the farm every morning once the morning chores had been done. Sure, it wasn't hard to hire ranchhands... They were not short on money, especially with a farm that had been around several years, and started by two people experienced in the field. And with Josh's second job, the villagers in Ordon were happy to help when necessary. They were not suffering in any way in terms of their farming side, but Josh wanted to be there more. But he also knew that he had a duty here... He had his reasons for enlisting, after all. He just wished that he could prove himself enough to show that he was worth his weight in strength enough to take this role. His stint as a town guard told him that shift work wasn't his forte... He was better when he was called upon. When he had time to train, time to prepare... Time to allow himself to better appreciate just why he took up the fight. But he didn't mind working hard to attain that. Hard work was something he was familiar with... As frustrating as it was to continue to work as a basic soldier, he did so diligently nonetheless. He would see the fruits of his labor eventually... But as it was, for a break he decided that if he couldn't go home to help on the farm - in an environment where he could relax and lower his shoulders for a little while - then he would find an alternative that he could lower his shoulders in. He had not yet been to the local bar... And it had been a few years since he had been in one. While he couldn't get drunk while on the job, perhaps a bottle or two would at least allow him to lower his shoulders for a bit and unwind before he was back on his feet again. So with that, the young soldier made his way into the bar. It was far more... Bustling, than the one he was used to. Consequence of it being in a large city, instead of a far smaller one. Making his way to the bar, he would take a seat... Not meeting the gazes of folks who stared at him. OOC: Tags: Oron El Hyrule |
