Names can lie, after all" He would tease back toward his comrade, with a small, mischievous smile crossing his lips in turn. Even his tone indicated that hint of jest, and the scripture quoting made it all the more obvious. Josh didn't tend to use formalities too often in the heat of battle, if that was any indication. Nor did he throw words such as "doth" or "thou" on the regular. He was a casual, laid-back, simple man in many ways. But he he was well-read, and did enjoy quoting as well as mixing and matching pieces of read scripture, especially if for the Hylian Soldier it entailed throwing another bout of playful, good-natured wit. It helped perhaps, that Crystal appeared to be his favourite "partner" for banter. Playing to her words and her actions, Dragelix found itself drawn as well, the greatsword almost seeming to shiver in anticipation just as it's wielder was. Sure, it's preferred target likely couldn't be hacked like a sword without a corporeal form, but it's Stalfos companion would certainly suffice... He allowed Crystal, silently, to go on with tormenting this very grumpy ghost as he would jump back when the shadow ball was thrown their way. "Don't underestimate our non-corporeal foe" He would advise toward Crystal. "Stalfos are formidable swordsmen alone, a bigger pain in numbers. One with support is still quite dangerous." A small smirk crossed his lips. "Let's see if on-guard truly is your middle name." With that, he took stance, his gaze turning serious, a tense shade of fierce as he recalled the injuries he sustained the last time he took on a foe like this. Looking into the depths of his own heart, he found no purity or sense of chaste remaining - he only found anger as he remembered the countless numbers of his fellow soldiers who'd been cut down by a monster just like this one, remembered his injuries, remembered every inch of pain as he would brandish his blade, it's surface beginning to be coated with searing, white hot flames whose heat radiated throughout the room. The magic had begun it's work, as the blonde haired Hylian would let out a cry, charging the Stalfos with a focused eye. The other eye kept tabs on the un-corporeal form nearby in case it attempted to attack again...  OOC: Tags: @crystal |

| The Hylian turned to glare at the Sheikah while she mocked him, tempted to smack her upside the head but deciding it wasn't worth it considering they were in a fight. "I'm starting to see why he doesn't pay attention to you" He would bite lightly as he would look to see the spirit beginning it's chanting. "I also see Mr. Ghost is not very used to entertaining guests... His etiquette for housing them really isn't refined at all" He would crack. As they circled the Stalfos, Crystal tried to go for Mr. Ghost but she forgot that Mr. Ghost doesn't have a physical body. So it did nothing. The blue flames would begin lighting torches, and then being... Blown out? The room had gone dark, and he knew that it was likely the Stalfos would begin to attack, and the spirit with it. The shadow ball that shot soon after confirmed his suspicions. "Ugh, geez. Alright, you might want to watch out. Or duck if you can't" He would remark toward Crystal as the Hylian would sheathe his blade, holding out both hands as the magic began to warm up. He knew this was going to take a fair bit of energy to do, but it had to be done... "Be ready to attack as soon as I do this, I'm not going to be able to fight for a bit after this! Get the Spooky Skeleton as soon as you can see him!" He would bark toward Crystal as twin fireballs would erupt in his hands. The Hylian let out a cry as he would unleash both fireballs blindly throughout the room, before loading up and doing so again, and again and again. Fireballs began to be launched everywhere around the room. While a sword might not damage a ghost depending on the type, odds are magic might do the trick. For the Stalfos, he knew that it would, it was still a physical being after all. His energy was beginning to tick down as he would aggressively continue firing flaming orbs, trying to either hit their opponents, or at least give them enough light for Crystal to attack the Stalfos while also keeping it too busy dodging his attacks to be able to defend against Crystal correctly. But Josh was not just blindly doing so anymore, as the room lit up from the volley, he was watching carefully, trying to find the Stalfos in the dark... If he did find it, he would begin to concentrate his fire. OOC: Tags: @crystal |

| The Hylian fell to his knees when his attack ceased and Crystal had taken the chance that had been offered to her. He had exhausted a great deal of stamina to grant them this opening, so the least the Sheikah could do after all was make the most of it. Heavy pants escaped him as sweat beaded down his face, or at least what his hair hadn't soaked up. Throwing soaked strands of hair that were covering his face with a look of disgust, he would slowly rise to his feet, as the room would begin to grow dark again when the fire would begin to dissipate. He couldn't even ignite his blade anymore, not for a bit while his stamina recovered. He noticed the hands that began to rise up from portals in the ground... "The hell?" The attempts to learn to be "formal" sounding fell by the wayside in favour of his more blunt and vulgar, country bumpkin type dialect. He had faced down large wyverns without fear, but this at the least freaked him out a fair bit. Unlike Crystal, he wasn't educated on the fact that these were illusions. But he kept calm for now, watching them like he would an enemy... His stance calm, his breathing calm as he waited for the chance to strike if need be, while doing his best to conserve his stamina. | It didn't take him long to realize his mistake. He'd been so focused on the fight, and trying to hit every target he could - ghost included - that he hadn't seen the blue flames that flickered, and provided them some light. The warrior let out a low growl, cursing himself for not seeing it before. He'd become too confident in his ability to cast, he hadn't realized he was still inexperienced in magic. He still had much to learn of magic... And his limits. Luckily, he hadn't used his entire reserves, and it wasn't long before he was back to his feet, but he knew he'd have to be careful in order to not go past his body's limitations. He needed to be able to strike carefully from here. But something else had caught his attention. His magic hadn't worked on it. He'd hit the stalfos, he'd hit some of the hands. But he hadn't hit the ghost. It had no effect on it... But Crystal's attack did. And seemed to effect the hands more than his magic did. Darkness seemed to be weak to that of it's own element... Including the ghost. Which meant... He was grateful to Crystal for clearing the way for him to have a breather by using her magic to take out some of these... Things. They looked like Floormasters, a lot of tiny Floormasters in a cluster. It was true, he'd never encountered any of this kind before. He would back up a bit, allowing his breathing to re-regulate as he would regain his full functions again. He would lean up against Crystal and whisper in her ear, as her panic was quite clear. "Crystal" He spoke softly, but firmly. "Your magic, it had an effect against that thing. The ghost, I mean." He'd already put together based on what the ghost was saying that it'd taken Crystal's father. He knew what needed to be done, and he doubted she'd have any objections... "I'm going to take on these... Hand things. Don't worry about me, I'm able to outmaneuver them, I'm sure. My only concern is that ghost. I can't hurt it. Nothing I do hurts it. I tried to pummel it with spells and it did nothing. Your spell did. If he attacks me with anything, there's nothing I can do but dodge, and I'm already gonna be doing a lot of dodging. But you... You can hit that thing. You can hurt it... And you may just be able to kill it." He would brandish his blade then, ready for a fight as the Floormasters would advance... "I'll draw their attention away. Don't worry about me. And don't worry, either. No panic, no stress... Breathe. You can do this, Crystal. I know you can do this" He would comfort softly. "I believe in you. And you should believe in yourself. I'll make sure the Floormasters aren't a problem... If I run out of energy..." He began as he would hold up a bottle filled with blue potion. "I'll take this, and if I have to... I'll burn this place to the ground if I have to, if that means giving you the time to get your revenge. Just keep him off me, will you? I can handle this... But I need to focus on them. Make sure he doesn't give me problems... And you'll have him completely to yourself. Kick his ass, aye?" With that he would pocket the bottle, and a small smirk would cross his lips as he would turn to face the advancing Floormasters as he would suddenly change tactics, sheathing his sword and drawing his bow, quickly stringing and firing at one of the Floormasters. Now that he had their attention, the Hylian would get on the move... Of course, his bow wasn't his only intended weapon. He had a bag of tricks to ensure they got out of this alive. He was fully aware of the gravity of the situation, and the fact this was life and death. There was no way in hell he was letting these things kill them. As for the ghost? That was up to Crystal.
