How long had it been since she visited her good friend Josh? A few days? Maybe a week, at most? She felt it was time to see him again, even if it hadn't been that long. The trip through the woods was a (almost) always pleasant and she could use the time to get a bit more practice on riding Nemea. Maybe Maude would be home too, taking a break from her work and the three of them could have lunch. It was thoughts like that that made her pack a lunch for them, just in case. Nemea probably grew tired from having a bunch of stuff strapped to him, but he was a calm and docile horse, great for a beginner like Selene. He was quite a bit older than Josh's young Cabuck, but that made him more patient. At least Selene thought so. She patted her beautiful boy along his neck and smiled. Just a few short years ago, she was terrified of these gentle giants. She had never even touched a horse. But now she was riding them. It was amazing what a little courage could do.
Selene made it to the ranch unscathed and soon hopped off of Nemea as she approached the gate to Josh's quaint little ranch. She didn't see him outside, but that didn't stop her from happily letting herself in. She led Nemea by the reigns and was about to make her way to the house to knock, but a certain noise made her stop in her tracks. She could hear those cute little goats from here... Maybe a little detour was to be had! Josh could wait!
The Hylian released Nemea from her grasp to let him graze wherever he pleased, as she made her way to the stables where the goats were feeding. When a few of them saw her, they bleated even louder than before. "Oh, hush! Shh, shh! I'm here now," she cooed to the closest one to her. Her hands ran over its muzzle and up its face, to its uniquely-shaped horn. Ordon goats were a very interesting breed. She had never seen anything like them. And she had never been around such noisy animals! Their baaing was sure to cause a disturbance and alert the property owners of a trespasser.
