Deep crunchy steps sounded in the street, leaving deep holes behind as Maude trumped through the snow. It was still coming down, little on and off flurries. Thankfully, the breeze had helped sweep the powder to one side of the road and leaving at least one side of buildings to be free of snow. It was far from the usual blankets that Maude dealt with when she was a younger soul. Lybranna was a bitter, four-seasoned climate, but you learned to dress up. Of course, this day barely called for pants, which Josh made her wear. She kept her short sleeves. Maude Lif didn't get cold. Snow apparently wasn't
as common in Hyrule, but certainly not unheard of. Civilians were less familiar with how to deal with the weather. Maude put the fault on laziness or lack of common sense, but no one cared about what she thought.
She'd be happy to be home right now. Josh and her had a deal where she'd happily grow the crops and he took care of their abundance of rats in varying sizes. Winter meant that she didn't have much to do today, so Josh sent her to check on Cabuck, because he was a drama queen who would probably think the first now in a land that got snow every year was a big deal and
what if they don't know how to walk in snow, Maude! Josh came from Lybranna too. Whatever he grew up must be warmer than even hyrule by how big of a deal he thought this all was. This was asinine.
