Greedy, patient, and a real go getter for new things, Itzal isn't one known for good life decisions. Sheikah training can only do so much to instill a sense of duty, protectiveness, maybe even a bit of nobility? Nah. Duty can be equated to having to do something - so Itzal needing to steal that really nice, expensive looking thing is not just something they want to do, but a duty to themselves. Duty and responsibility are important after all! You just need to shift your perspective a little at times.[break][break]
They love to stir the pot, perhaps making up for lost time from being raised in the secluded Hidden Village. Nicknames, obvious wrong conclusions, clumsiness at the most opportune moment, all part of the metaphorical bag of tricks they carry about. How a person reacts to teasing, stress, and plain old people not doing what they want says a lot about them - and is usaully good for a laugh.[break]

[attr="class","hopelovetitle"]APPEARANCE

The smallest graceful murder swan in human form you'll meet. Clocking in at an intimidating 5'0" and with blood red eyes that seem to glow (be it mischief, amusement, or anger), Itzal both loves and hates how easy it is for him to look unassuming, or scare people with how they can move silently even in that big scrappy cloak they can't seem to part with. Their height is a tool, a useful one. Their need for useful and practical items can seem strangely at odds at how much they value shiny trinkets and frivolous things.[break][break]
On an average day, Itzal is covered in dirt, possibly some dried blood and animal or monster guts, and give or take some grass stains on their clothes (washing your stuff in the river only does so much). He keeps their hair short and chunky, up in a simple ponytail and out of the way. If he's feeling extra fancy they even replace the plain red tie with a trinket or ribbon.[break]

[attr="class","hopelovetitle"]BIOGRAPHY
[attr="class","hopelovetop"]
So you're born, you cry, get fed, learn how to use the loo by yourself... learn how to walk without making a sound, throw a poorly weighted knife when you don't have your own on hand, hand to hand combat against all kinds of odds. You know, Sheikah stuff. Smoke bombs and those needle thingies were neat too. Neater than the whole protect the royals and blah blah blah... Itzal kinda used that space in their brain to better their hunting and trapping skills - there's more than one way to skin a wolfos after all.[break][break]
While they weren't painted with quite the same patriotic brush as other Sheikah, even as a homeless hunter in the Castle Town they do their part to benefit the Hyrule family - or at least spin an excuse that involves benefiting them in some round about way. Sure, they won't even consider being a town guard, let alone trying for a coveted guardian position, they totally make up for it with high quality hunted goods.[break][break]
Now most days pass with a nice rhythm of shoot thing, skin thing, sell thing, steal thing, sleep. Maybe break it up with helping out a farmer, or being an escort for a caravan. Having no permanent home does wonders for feeling free to wander the countryside, not so much for having a stable spot for selling wares, or sleeping out of the rain. Oh well. The rather spacious water ways of Hyrule Town make excellent temp homes, as well as carving out hidden caches of not entirely legally obtained goods.

- Itzal's main weapon is the bow, but he is also a fan of slings and knives[break]
- They're transgender, though they don't bind their chest outside of large social events since they can hide their chest with the right clothing in most cases (also a comfort thing!)[break]
- They have lost pretty much all grasp of literacy, not that he'll admit it
