[attr="class","section"]Appearance
Sierra is a fairly fashion forward. She likes trying out the latest trends. But what she likes most is mismatching different fashionable pieces of clothing and starting her own trends. At times, she can come off as a bit eccentric with her ideas on fashion. But whatever it is she decides to wear, it’ll be known that she’ll manage to pull it off. What would most likely look ridiculous on anyone else, she can easily pull off. One might consider her taste in making her trends stems from her more creative nature; after all, one wouldn’t become an artist if they didn’t have creativity in spades.
Her sense of creativity doesn’t only end on paper or in her clothing, but also in other aspects of her appearance. Take her hair, for example. She’s naturally a brunette, but due to her liking to change things up, she’s been known to dye her hair. So far, her only go-to colors are green and purple. Aldo, due to her dislike of spicing things up, rarely fully dyes her hair, often leaving the roots of a few strands of hair untouched.
Aside from accessories such as earrings and bracelets, she isn’t fashionable about her appearance in any other way. In fact, the one thing that doesn’t change about her are her eyes. Her eyes remain the same light brown they’ve always been.
Other things that don’t change are her fair complexion and the fact that she stands at a height of 5'7", meaning she stands on the taller spectrum of women.
[attr="class","section"]Personality
Sierra is most known for being quiet. Not because she chooses to be, but because she doesn’t have the same ability as everyone else to talk. This has led to her gaining the title of being a good listener. Because what else is there to do when one can’t talk but listen?
Despite an inability to talk, she more than makes up for it with facial expressions and body language. Being fairly expressive, it’s not too hard to figure out what she’s trying to say, even if she doesn’t write it out. Even so, she’d much rather hear what someone else has to say.
It’s not that she doesn’t think herself interesting; she would just rather be able to help someone else out. Need a sound board? She’s your girl. You need someone to have your back, no matter what. She’s also your girl.
Sure, she can’t be vocal, but still, that doesn’t mean she’ll just let someone be pushed around. So if you need someone to stand up for you, she won’t hesitate to come to your aid. She’ll just do so with glares thrown towards the offender and a few slapped faces and kicked shins if a glare alone isn’t enough to make bullies back down.
Because if there is one thing she can’t stand, it’s bullies. Especially if said bullies gang up on someone who can’t or won’t stand up for themselves.
[attr="class","section"]History
Her mother had a difficult pregnancy with her, and it is unclear if it was because of that or something that happened during the delivery that left her without the ability to talk. All anyone knows is that, for some reason, Sierra has never had the ability to talk.
The difficult pregnancy took its toll on her mother, and she never fully recovered. She became weak, unable to leave her bed. Her father did all he could for her, but it wasn’t enough. Eventually, when Sierra was only three years old, she would pass on her sleep.
Her father changed after that, becoming cold and distant. He had little patience with Sierra after that and often snapped at the child. Sierra never took it purposefully, though she knew her father was just grieving. He would get better, and he would return to being her father as before. That is what she believed.
However, that isn’t what happened. Her father never got better.
When she was ten, she would come home from school one day without a father. Just a note saying, 'Sorry, I can’t take it anymore.’
She wasn’t surprised; she had seen it coming. I saw it in the way he looked at her. Like he was looking right through her, or like he was looking at her mother, not her.
Other people, when they found out, weren’t surprised either.
He had never gotten over the death of his wife. Perhaps by being away, he would be able to heal.
Time marches on.
Eventually, Sierra would blossom into a fine young woman and leave her years of schoolhood behind her to become an artist.
