[attr="class","section"]her character
The sprightly Madame of House Arkwright is a big-hearted, motherly figure to the denizens of the coastal manor. Wisdom is a virtue of hers, and she oft shares it plentifully to younger folk.
On the other side of her sunny disposition, Fierre has little patience to give in malevolent activity. She is headstrong to a fault, and demands justice for wrongs where it may be found. Thus, while generally enduring with others, if she is driven to wrath, her eyes become kindled as a flame, and her hair bursts with magnificent heat.
Fierre was granted the boon of a wyvern. From her back, she had grown flexible wings and tail, though no horns manifested upon her head. She is currently unable to transform into a drake.
[attr="class","section"]her appearance
She is a lady of soft, mature beauty, with fiery, golden blonde hair and gentle emerald eyes. Her dress comprises of red tops with a cascading skirt--though her particular type of skirt seems to remain the same no matter what. Upon her chest is a mysterious, blue-gemmed brooch encapsulated by gold, of whish she is seldom seen without.
[attr="class","section"]an ancient legend
Before they were called the Halviskor, or even Hybrids, the folk of Holodrum in one part were once seafaring Hylians who shipwrecked upon the shores of the distant land. They made such a place their home, and with the guidance of the Maku Tree, established a humble fisherman's town to live and thrive.
Of course, Holodrum was not inhabited by them alone, for the native, strength-loving Drumites (the other part) saw the feeble Hylians as intruders, and warred against them for a time. Naturally, the indigenous tribe would discover that the interlopers were divinely blessed by the goddess they serve--but that did little to change their stubbornness in ridding the land of them...
... Until one fateful day, a great serpent, full of wrath and shadow, broke apart the proud city the Drumites, and caused it to sink where it emerged. In desperation, the Drumites and Hylians joined forces to repel the wyrm, but it was not until they were aided by a third tribe, the Subterraneans, to cause their enemy to escape back into the deepest earth.
Their goals fulfilled and bond forged through the fires of battle, the Hylians and Drumites merged collectively together to rebuild their home, while the Subterraneans returned to the peaceful life of quiet harvest of lava below...
[attr="class","section"]arrival of the master
Further into the future, while was yet peace in Holodrum, a new group of folk arrived to the shore, folk who were led by a man known only as the "Master." He gave them gifts from places unknown, and dealt charitably with the denizens of the land. Soon, many began to admire him by virtue of his generosity, and the kindness of the folk he sojourned with. Monsters thought impossible to defeat were bested by the Master's kin, and were driven into the deeper parts of the wilderness.
Yet, among all their folk, those closer to Hylia's boon discerned them of strange, foul magic, as many of them appeared like monsters...
... But the Drumites, retaining tribal teachings of power and strength as positive attributes, welcomed the newcomers wholeheartedly. In time, they requested that the Master grant them the unusual boon of his company.
Fierre, heir of Holodrum's leadership, born from Hylian and Drumite, naively held these beliefs also, and allowed herself to become one of their test subjects in hopes that she would be chosen for greater strength. She partook thus, and found herself writhing in great pain and agony, for an unknown entity thus sought to cloud her mind and judgement further. Her Drumian blood was swift to submit under its influence, yet Hylia's blessing remained upon her, and with it, she resisted with fervor until it was naught but haunting whispers.
The effect of such powers manifested suddenly, some taking on appearance and strength of monsters well-known in their land, others as unique beasts of unbridled power. Those who were of pure Drumian blood became mindless beasts and slaves to a darker will, yet those who had even a hint of Hylia's blessing retained their minds. Yet, the will of an unspoken evil still whispered with temptation...
'Submit.'
The blessed of Hylia quietly resigned to unwilling obedience, yet aware of themselves, and felt horror as they saw others who became totally subservient.
[attr="class","section"]the red rooks
Every changed member was thus distributed and categorized as though chess pieces. The King was the Master, the Queen was to be an officer of his choosing, the Bishops were the high council, the Knights were the iron-fisted patrol, the Rooks were stationed officers to enforce the will of the Bishops, and the Pawns were the hive-minded footmen who did all that they were bid.
Concerning the selection of the Queen, Fierre was chosen by the Master, thus dubbing her as 'The Madame.' Surely enough, he confessed to her over a game of chess that he was not the mastermind of the entire affair, but a mere tool for the devices of an enemy he knew little of. For cowardice, he obeyed those who held his life at the edge of a knife, and he was at his breaking point.
Within weeks, Fierre watched Holodrum society devolve to ruin as a majority of their kin became slaves to ill. She felt alone, helpless, and unable to alter the path of their land and people. She sought old books in archives untouched for centuries, and rediscovered the existence of the Maku Tree, the true master of Holodrum.
Not soon after, those who resisted the dark thoughts rallied together in one accord were made up wholly of those who lead in the faction of the Rooks. They created a bulwark of resistance in the town of Horon, and the Knights were unable to prevail against it. The Bishops thus sent for Fierre, knowing from her heritage that she could dissuade the rebellion and cause them to submit.
However, the opposite occurred, and Fierre sought the help of the Maku Tree--who stood dormant and without leaf. Yet by vision, she was bid by its spirit to flee to the land of her forefathers--to Hyrule, where she may find those who have the power to revive the strength of the tree.
In little time, she set out for the land of Hyrule in hopes to find such individuals to aid her cause... but she was intercepted before she got into the furthest seas, and her vessel was destroyed, companions dragged off back to whence they came. Fierre drifted alone upon the remains of the mast in dreamless sleep, guided to the far shore on the blessed whims of Nayru's ocean...
When Fierre awoke on the balmy sand of Hyrule, she had no memory of her past, nor of her mission and purpose. She was discovered by a pair of friends of certain charisma, one by the name of Johannes von Brandt, a military officer, while the other was Matthias Arkwright, who was a shipwright.
The three became fast friends, though one was quicker to steal the heart of the young woman...
