Hyrule Castle has been in an uproar this spring with the return of royals and the crowning of a new queen, oh my! The youngest of the princesses, Princess Marianne seceded King Leon and was sworn in as Queen Marianne. While the occasion is momentous, the coronation was kept oddly minimalistic with only the leadership of the neighboring Zoran, Goron, Gerudo, and Rito provinces as well as military and noble house heads. A heavy crown to take on given the newest threat of the Twilight looming on the horizon!
But that’s not all! Soon after the announcement that the Starlight Festival will continue this year, two royals returned to us: Prince Oron el Hyrule and Princess Selene de Hyrule! Prince Oron had been last spotted in the Battle of Eldin one year ago, leading troops in the frontline. However he had been presumed dead when the battle concluded. Princess Selene had presumed to perish in a fire more than twenty years ago… What a delightful scoop! Soon after their official returns, they were reinstated into their roles as royals and have since been aiding the government of Hyrule.
With her family to help shoulder the burden, Queen Marianne visited the Lake Hylia outpost to discuss the current Twilight situation. She was received by Commander Gwyar directly before they exchanged thoughts and discussions about military affairs.

The Starlight Festival came in full swing this year! After its cancellation last year, the festival organizers of Hyrule City pulled out all the stops to boost the spirits of the Hyrulian people. From stargazing to starlight dancing, ice skating and snacks galore, the festivities lasted long into the brightly lit night. In memory of those lost from the Starlight Tragedy, a skylit vigil was held; the sight of lanterns sent to join the stars was a fantastic sight seen far beyond the walls of Hyrule City.
Oh but don’t think the royal gossip stops with the festival! Princess Selene was spotted among the crowds with Sir Josh Dragelion. Sources say the two were quite familiar with one another, given their sharing of food, teasing, playing with eachothers hair.. Some may say the princess and the knight were on a date! The sight of the two on the ice was certainly a sight to behold; Princess Selene held tight to Sir Josh in the starlight rink, twirling and laughing as the night went on! It looked straight out of a children's fairytale. It was even reported that the two shared something sweeter than a dance on the ice… a kiss! That’s right ladies and gentlemen, a kiss! Could the Princess be officially off the market?

All is not of pure peace in Hyrule. Just when some comfort had come from the Starlight Festival, Twilight reminded us that things are not yet over! A curtain of darkness had been draped over pieces of Hyrule and completely corrupted the local life of Faron and Lanayru provinces: people turned into beasts, monsters corrupted, havoc reaped upon settlements!
A call of volunteers came from Her Majesty herself to fight the Twilight Curtain. These volunteers had been dubbed the Lightbringers who would venture inside the Twilight. Participants of every province would bring back pieces of glowing magic called the Tears of Light to be returned to their home springs.
Once the tears had been returned, these Lightbringers returned to Hyrule City to report their findings. However, in all the groups dispersed, one group returned without their partner. Queen Marianne and her partner Klara, daughter of a Gerudo Chief, returned at separate hours without explanation. Neither could be reached for comment on the matter. Just what happened behind that curtain?!
