Oh to take a plunge into Lake Hylia on a day like this. The sun beat down on Tarik's pale skin, and the only relief that he could get from the heat would to take a dive into the water. He stripped down, since he really didn't want to have soggy clothes to walk around in after a revitalizing swim.

Tarik dove headfirst into the water, his body completely submerged in a blanket of blue. He rose to the surface, letting out a gasp as his head rose above the water. It wasn't such a bad idea to do this afterall. Although, if he stayed in the water too long - and the combination of the sun's rays reflecting off its surface, he could end up with a massive sunburn.

And he most certainly didn't want that.

Tarik allowed himself a couple more minutes to float in the water's embrace. 'Honestly, it couldn't get better than this,' he thought to himself. The pale-haired Sheikah rose from the water and used his cloak to dry himself off. He would just put that in the saddlebag that sat on his horse. It wasn't like he really needed it, but he loved the extra flair it brought.

After putting his clothes back on, he reached around in the saddlebag, hoping to find the ration pack that he had left over. After a swim like that, it was necessary to eat something.

The Sheikah felt like there were eyes fixed on him, but lately he had been kind of paranoid. If someone recognized him, their eyes would probably be fixed on him for some time. He chuckled under his breath and stroked his horse's mane.

Lake Hylia was a strange second home.

Before the raid had occurred, ripping through the dark to return the desert into their hands - the Lake had been a temporary encampment. A much cooler place than the land burned by the sun.. and truthfully, Klara still managed to stray here on her ways back.

Water abound, easy to manipulate now. Their misfortune had at least come with a miniature blessing: Klaras magic had burned brighter than ever, growing until they were able to return home. Returning to its shores not only refilled her waterskin but it refreshed from the inside out.

Again, the lake had drawn her near. Waves against the rock and sand like a siren's call. Klara’s steps were light as she made her way along its edge, the chimes of her jewelry mixing with the lake's ambiance.

She had seen many people on her many visits - fishermen readying the day, Zora guards when the river connected, Hylian soldiers from the outposts.. Yet she had grown used to some areas being more serene than others. She had not expected to find a man climb from the waters and return to a horse. No armor or company in sight.

Watching him for a bit, she could at least tell he meant little harm. White strands that were a beacon of the Sheikah were a growing familiarity. Her mind wandered back to the little Shekiah inventor who stopped by, responsible for the circlet of wings and gems in her hair.

“She’s a pretty one.” Klara commented, finally making her presence known - or at least announcing it properly. “The name suits her.”

The little Gerudo did not get close, keeping the distance of two swords between them. She was a small thing, considering - the height of a Hylian but the colors of a Gerudo. Her head had to angle up to look at him. Eyes filled with a hint of cheer and no malice - she was just making conversation.

The Sheikah had been right. There had been someone watching him, and it wasn't a figment of his imagination... or his paranoia. He turned to see a small Gerudo looking up at him.

He let out a low chuckle, a smile ghosting across his lips. "You think so?" Honestly, he was surprised that anyone had come to the far end of the lake. He had chosen this particular spot because there wasn't the risk of someone getting a peep show. Obviously, he was wrong.

"She has quite the pedigree. A horse befitting of the Sheikah tribe." There was a small degree of sadness in his eyes. He did miss his family, but he did not want to continue on living a lie and become part of the royal guard. Sometimes he wondered if it was worth it all.

"I didn't think that there were people that came this way. Sorry if you saw too much." Tarik was embarrassed to say the least. "My name is Tarik. To whom do I have the pleasure of meeting?"

Honestly, he was surprised to see a Gerudo so far from the desert. Last he knew, ~~which he really didn't~~ the Gerudos stayed in the desert.

A little smile pulled her lips. Affection and sorrow within his voice - though she could not tell if it was simply missing home or longing for those who joined the starlight. “They reflect those who care for them.”

Klara bit the edge of her bottom lip, trying not to snicker. Helping the wounded did desensitize her to the body, but she was not unfamiliar to the little wave of embarrassment that came with it.

“Please don’t worry. I didn’t make myself known either.” She reassured with a laugh, “I came here too because it's quiet.” Plenty came by the Lake, but any good area still had its hidden coves and places of serenity.

“My name is Klara.” The charms on her skirt jingled as she gave a half curtsy - it wasn’t a traditional Gerudo greeting, but he was visibly a Sheikah. She could only assume he preferred the Hylian greetings. “Pleasure to meet you, Mister Tarik - What brings you out this way?”
