Tarik isn't actually his name. It's the name that he gave himself after deserting the Hidden Village and broke away from Sheikah tradition. The only people that were aware of his reasons for desertion happen to be his parents. Now, Tarik travels around Hyrule seeking adventureand maybe some combat so he doesn't get rusty. [break][break]
If anything, Tarik likes to align himself with those who follow the beat of their own drum. He's always felt like an outcast, even when he tried to fit into the mold of the Sheikah and becoming part of the Royal Family protectors.
