Gabriel stands at around 5'7" (170 cm) in height and is of a thin, almost emaciated build. His skin is of a very pale color and like every Hylian, he has long pointy ears. He possesses a distinct head of fiery red hair and has bright green eyes akin to the color of an emerald gem. He appears to wear makeup as well with his eyes in particular always having rather dark circles expertly applied around them... Of course, the eyeliner covers up actual dark lines and bags that surround his eyes due to tiredness caused by his unfortunately weak constitution.

His primary attire is very... Unusual. He dresses in primarily dark, elaborate outfits of a gothic sensibility. He tends to wear a rather nice looking hat with a veil that falls over his face. Some almost would compare it to the garb commonly worn by eccentric warlocks and witches. Gabriel is always seen carrying a seemingly innocuous cane with him that he does occasionally use as support if he tires himself out too much. The cane has a twist to it, however...

Gabriel is one who can be tricky to sum up and pin down beyond that he is very unusual despite being from a noble family. He can be described as playful, flamboyant, and strange. Sometimes even generous if he feels inclined to be. Some who know of him would call him something of a "lovable rogue". Despite being relatively outgoing and even friendly, he is also an enigma to many around him regarding some of the deeper workings of who he is as a person. Indeed, there is a sadness that permeates his very being due to his health and ability to deal with other people, though this side of him rarely manifests. Gabriel naturally took to using magic and does enjoy its study as one element of his various, curious interests. Gabriel is a pragmatist who is willing to engage in some questionable behavior and tactics to accomplish tasks and his goals. Sometimes proving himself to be surprisingly vicious in contrast to his "charming" behavior. It luckily is usually done for a greater good rather than anything outright malicious, though any who are deemed his enemies would be wise to be wary of his schemes. Many may find this proclivity for unscrupulous, ruthless actions slightly worrying regardless and for valid reason if those tendencies aren't reigned in. He has taken to studying alchemy and the creation of poisons specifically as one part of these sorts of tactics. While a generally good person, Gabriel can be described by others as abiding by his own whims and desires sometimes and willing to bend any morals he has. He also has a fascination with unusual beliefs that stray from the common orthodoxy in Hyrule even if he personally doesn't hold much genuine belief in them. One aspect of this relates to a deck of tarot cards that he likes to use when messing with other people... Yet they seem more capable of peering into a person's very soul than even Gabriel would like to admit.

Gabriel has a bit of a complicated relationship with his family, likely as a result of his strange behavior and their own overprotectiveness over him, and he at times has resented his parents or feel as though they do not care about him beyond mere necessity. Despite that, it is clear his parents care for him in some capacity considering the efforts they went through to ensure he thrived growing up, not having any other children to "replace" him, and ensuring he was educated and prepared for his (hopeful) future.

One Gabriel was born as a set of twins of the most recent generation of the House of Cocytus, a minor noble family whose ancestor earned them their title through helping further the development of magic theory throughout Hyrule, medical developments with magic, and military uses and tactics utilizing magic that proved vital over time and helped them develop connections to various other noble families in Hyrule. The family are well known for their inherent magical prowess as a result, though they have also been plagued with rumors of dubious validity regarding their trustworthiness over the years. Ambition is seen as essential and ambitiousness can very well be taken too far if one looks in the wrong places to further their goals. The current patriarch of the family is known as a rather meek, polite man contrary to said uncertain reputation. It is unclear if perhaps this is an attempt at improving the family's reputation or if the man truly is just that... Plain in comparison to his predecessors. In contrast, the Lord married an enigmatic witch who appeared to possess much of the ambition he seemed to personally lack. Gabriel and his twin ended up being born prematurely and thus life seemed destined to be a permanent struggle for them, especially when his sister passed away when they were very young. The mere act of staying alive was difficult and Gabriel's own survival proved uncertain time and again. Yet... He persevered. He seemed to defy any and all odds. Recovered unnaturally quickly from illnesses and injuries despite his weaker build ensuring he was a victim of them just as often. Stood his ground. He desired life... And more... With these peculiarities and other odd occurrences involving water and ice, it was discovered Gabriel possessed incredibly high magical potential even for the standards of his family. A trait that definitely earned him extra favor due to the family's history. His parents would attempt to guide him in learning the basics, but his health came above all else. Especially if he was to inherit the family's fortune and make something interesting of his life... Thus, progress was fairly slow growing up.

Gabriel lived an isolated existence in his family's estate growing up and throughout his adolescence, but as time went on, he began to sneak outside more and more, donning what would end up becoming his signature look and adding a cane to the mix. Many didn't realize who he actually was at first and found the gothic young man a strange sight and his behavior a peculiar attempt at being charming, though he did seem harmless enough despite asking around... Though, in truth, his upbringing had caused him to develop some eccentricities in his behavior and a deep yearning for what he sees as true freedom and a "cure" for his health problems... No matter what. In recent years, his poor health had actually stabilized to a point where his parents relented to his desires and granted him permission to travel more, though with supervision. This coincided with them finally helping Gabriel put in an application and pay the tuition for him to attend the Academy of Magic, a long desired goal of Gabriel's... Of course, he begrudgingly still worries about his health issues, but at last, his potential could truly blossom... Whatever will young Gabriel do with his developing magical power once he has it, though? Even a rigorous year into his formal studies, nobody knows for certain what his "deal" is. Will anyone ever find out or will he remain as enigmatic as ever?
