Ritua had spent a lot of time in her newfound home. [break][break]
Well, it wasn't exactly a home. But it had a dormitory she was allowed to sleep in! Miss von Brandt had been very kind enough to make sure she had a room to herself, given her unique situation. She was pretty sure the woman was aware of her Kokiri nature, but thankfully she had never expressed it outwardly. Those were the kind of people she didn't mind knowing, really. She seemed trustworthy! Dark magic was still a scary idea, but she had been learning at least a little bit. There were a few spells that at least seemed to be useful. [break][break]
In fact, amidst a few other people studying their spells, Ritua was attempting to practice a very basic Demise spell, Shadow Grab. It seemed useful to grab items nearby, especially getting books off the taller shelves! There definitely seemed like better spells for it, but it felt like a rather safe expedition into a branch of magic she was understandably hesitant about. [break][break]
"Come on... do it!" She'd wave her hands, a lit lantern casting her shadow down onto the floor. No matter what she did, the shadow only did exactly what she did. Moving the shadow with her mind without moving her body kind of went against how she normally cast spells. She usually danced! Waved her arms with power behind them! She was stuck, humming in thought when she suddenly heard a voice.[break][break]
"A Kokiri!" [break][break]
Ritua blinked, frozen in place as she slowly turned around as a strange individual accosted her, demanding her name, and her fairies name. How did they know? Nobody else knew! Or at least, nobody said they did! In fact, with the outburst, she was definitely getting a few looks from the few other people nearby. This wasn't good. This wasn't good at all.[break][break]
Token, her fairy, shifted about in her backpack. Seemingly equally uneased by the situation, but they didn't dare make their presence known. [break][break]
"Ummm," Ritua began, looking up at the lady as she struggled for words. "Uh, excuse me? I think you have me mistaken! Yeah, I'm uh, just from the countryside. I might be young, but Kokiri are just legends!" She said, you know, like a liar. "Actually, who are you? You're not another student, are you? You shouldn't wander around here while people are practicing! You could get hurt!" She looked around at the few other people nearby, giving them an almost apologetic look. [break][break]
"Please, let me escort you outside." Of course, it was almost entirely an excuse to get the strange individual alone so she could speak to them in a more private setting. She'd even go as far to reach up to take their hand, should they let her grab it.
