[attr="class","section"]July Character Spotlight
July's Character Spotlight has respect commanded by one Commander Gwyar Blayney, written by Bread! A once-disgraced veteran of Hyrule's military, Gwyar has made the most of being sent to a little-known outpost near Lake Hylia by making it his own. Commanding a small force of Lynel hunters, Gwyar has made it his goal to keep the population of these dangerous monsters down as much as possible. He also seeks to turn his little outpost into a town of its own. If you are looking to prove your worth against one of the beasts, your best ticket for finding them is Gwyar Blayney.

The News bar at the top of the site has been updated with recent character ongoings!
[attr="class","section"]New Spells
New spells have been added to the Magic Compendium, including:
Nayru: Mist Guise - The user summons a mist that changes the appearance and physiology of the user, allowing them to hide their true identity entirely. Requires a significant amount of magic to perform, but will last until the caster enters combat.
Farore: Thorn Stride - The user temporarily imbues themselves with magic, encouraging plants to bend out of the way of their movement. Effectively allowing an individual to walk through dangerous areas without harm, or through areas that are typically blocked by plant life. The plants bend back after a few moments, although the amount they shift is depending on the plant itself. While vines might completely recoil, old and ancient trees might just have their roots be slightly less of a tripping hazard. This effect can be used indefinitely, but will drain energy over time.
Hylia: Examine - The user emits a trace amount of blue-colored magic from their hands that sends visual information to the their mind in an x-ray-like fashion. When used on a creature or inanimate object, it displays interior layers according to where the appendage is placed. However, the caster ought to know some background information in order to comprehend or parse what they intend to see (i.e. a physician familiar with the human body). In simpler terms, it is useful for detecting injuries, ailments and other things, so long as one knows what they're looking for.
Thank you so much for your suggestions!
[attr="class","section"]New Faceclaim Amendments
These guidelines apply to the avatar, hover avatar and image used on the character application. While there are no restrictions on images used to depict reference material outside of these, please respect if an artist does not want their work used:
- Faceclaims may be used by more than one character, but permission must be granted by the original holder of the faceclaim for it to be used by another at the same time.
- Some faceclaims, mainly those meant for non-human Zelda races with limited available faceclaims, cannot be exclusively reserved.
- Original and commissioned artworks are fair game to be used, but they must be credited on the character application. If the original artist asks for it not to be used, this request must be abided by.
- Art made by or commissioned by members of the site require their permission to be used.
- Real life faceclaims and hyper-realistic art cannot be used.
[attr="class","section"]Timeline
The Site Timeline has been updated! It now includes events up to the City In The Sky. Older entries have also been updated for easier reading.
[attr="class","section"]Quest Guide, New Quests & The End of Questlines
The Questing Guide has been updated! We have also simplified the format of all quests to make them serve more as prompts.
After enough testing on the Quests system, we've come to the conclusion that it's best to reduce items that require 2 Quests to just 1. All questlines will be modified to reflect this. All ongoing quests are still allowed to continue. If you have completed the first quest in a line and have not yet completed the second, you will be awarded the item. Please let Staff know if you qualify for a quest item due to this.
Some existing quests have been changed, and some have been added. This includes:
Aviary Antics
A Twilight Realm version of this quest has been added in order to obtain Twilight variants. Those who have already completed the quest may choose which variant they have.
Ballad of Farore
An existing instrument can be empowered instead of receiving a new one if the character wishes.
Bonds of the Sworn
You may now turn this into a passive ability, or have it take form as an artifact of your choosing.
Ghostly Adventure
A new quest that allows you to make friends with a summonable Poe!
The Great Fairy Of Fashion's Blessing
A new quest that grants you the ability to summon your arms and armor at will!
Trial Of The Beast
A new quest taking place in the Twilight Realm that offers the ability to master your Beast Form and use it at will! Twili can also obtain a Beast Form of their own in this fashion.
[attr="class","section"]The Location Dossier
And finally... We've been building this for some time now, as some folks here know. But it's finally finished! Located in the forum of each Province is a dossier on its towns, landmarks and other places of interest. Settlements and Guilds that fulfill the requirements may have a posting here as well.
The Ordona Province
The Faron Province
The Central Province
The Eldin Province
The Lanayru Province
The Sky Province
The Twilight Realm
This August marks six years since the site first officially opened. Our next event will be upon us soon, and it will be our final casual event before the final battle in the Palace Of Twilight. This one will be a two-part event, so be ready! After the finale, the site will undergo a two-year timeskip after we take a break. Use the time between now and the timeskip to finish any plot business you might have before that.
Thank you so much for the last six years, and we hope we'll be able to experience your stories for six years more!
