[attr="class","header"]Epilogue
After driving off Argorok and restoring the Sky Province to normal, those who came to their defense were heralded as heroes by those living on the floating islands. But their biggest find was the space between realms that brought them in range of the Palace of Twilight itself. With this portal, they realized, a team could bypass many of the Twili's defenses, infiltrate the palace itself and take out Raalk, ending this war once and for all.
In the months that followed, Hyrule's forces began its final preparations for what they hoped would be their final battle. Of course, there were also reports that Shadow Beasts and monsters who had been corrupted by the Twilight Realm had been sighted not far from Hyrule City. A force much larger than the one that had caused the Starlight Tragedy all those years ago, at that. The possibility that Raalk was mobilizing for a full-scale invasion of the capital was front and center on the minds of Hyrule's leaders, and they had to take every precaution possible.
[attr="class","section"]Josh & Desmond
The siblings Josh and Desmond Dragelion continued to gain renown with Hyrule's people. The famed knight couldn't get much more famous, and at this point his involvement in these affairs had become a given. Most knew that where there was trouble, Sir Josh Dragelion was probably going to wind up in the middle of it. Still, the Sky Province's people were new to the sight of the determinedly altruistic knight cutting through everything in his path to help people, so that was a new experience. Desmond meanwhile was beginning to see his life change more by the day. With his face in the Hyrule Chronicle every now and again, the younger Dragelion couldn't escape people recognizing the resemblance between him and his brother right away, nor could he escape the fallout of his own deeds. While he had only been trying to protect his family, Desmond was having a difficult time going to work without people beginning to stare at him. And not all of it because of who he was related to either. Indeed, Desmond had begun forging his own reputation, regardless of whether he wanted to or not. Offers to join Hyrule's military had so far been ignored, though.
[attr="class","section"]Gwyar
Commander Gywar had been part of liberating two regions from the clutches of twilight now, and the disgraced veteran wouldn't be able to hide in plain sight any longer. On the plus side, the Royal Family had stopped conveniently forgetting to send payments to his base at Lake Hylia, so he wasn't dependent on just selling monster parts anymore. Perhaps he could use the extra rupees to repair the base? While some older ministers and men of stature were against it, thanks to Queen Marianne's good word on the commander's behalf, Gwyar had been offered to return to the castle and take missions more steadily again, if he so wished it.
[attr="class","section"]Letia & Revyn
Letia was received warmly by her fellow villagers in her budding little hamlet. Having distinguished herself, she would find herself rewarded well by the Royal Family, and it was here that they were made aware of her budding settlement as well. Some of the royals would go out of their way to plant a bug in a few ears to get the word out about this rising settlement in the Sky Province, and some would even begin to take airships up to find it, in hopes of trading opportunities. Those who met Letia would question as to if, thanks to her part in this success, if she should take a leadership role in this new settlement, if she hadn't already. Perhaps they would soon decide a mayor? Though with the City In The Sky now free of monsters, there presents an opportunity if one were to lay claim to it...
Revyn would no longer be able to hide his Crest of Courage after that show against Argorok, and with word beginning to get out about a Keaton in Hyrule Castle bearing a Crest, Revyn was going to find himself a bit more hard-pressed to blend into the shadows. The price of fame, it seems, is steep for one who prefers to blend into the background.
[attr="class","section"]Phoebe & Ursula
Phoebe had been through her share of ups and downs as of late, but the reinvigorated Lady Arkwright's relationship with the denizens of the Sky Province were on the up and up more than ever after helping to drive Argorok away. While she lost an airship in the scuffle, she was not short of takers willing to help her rebuild it. Her business would shine just as much as ever. Lady Ursula meanwhile, had done her best to prove that she was on the side of Hyrule despite her absence and newly found resemblance to the invading Twili. Her decision to aid the people of the Sky Province was met with some suspicion, but many were relieved to see her clearly fighting on their side. The Rito that had taken care of her after her second kidnapping were also grateful and considered any sort of debt repaid.
[attr="class","section"]Will & Dorzuma
The Gorons on Death Mountain had been struggling to regain their footing as one of Hyrule's premier powers after the Battle of Eldin. With depleted numbers, the loss of several prominent figures in the war, and their Chief's decision to step down as a result of his injuries, their hierarchy of leadership was unstable and many had left the mountains for less rocky pastures, ironically enough. But the efforts of young Dorzuma whom was the son of Chief Solveig, did not go unnoticed. Staying behind to keep the monsters busy may not have earned him a duel against a dragon, but Dorzuma had the gratitude of the Sky Province's people. It wasn't long before trade talks between the Rito and Gorons would begin to fester... Meanwhile, the mysterious Zora Will would prove he had survived by showing up to collect his pay for a job well done. But he would disappear back into the shadows before he could be given any thanks or request for further service.
[attr="class","section"]Jade
Dorzuma's travelling companion Jade though, was thrilled to find that she now had wings. But being a bonafide Aeralfos gave her much to think about when it came to just who she really was. As for her standing, well, while Hyrule's people had been fearful of monsters for some time due to the war, there had been reports of a strange, almost human-looking Aeralfos who had aided in driving back the dragon and restoring the Sky Province to normal. While not all were willing to trust her, some were now more willing to kick work the way of someone with that description. Those of the Sky Province though, owed her a debt of gratitude and she was able to fly there freely without having to obscure herself.
[attr="class","section"]Rularu
Zora King Riven has declared his intention to enact the rite of succession, but the question for many months had been who would take his place. As Princess Rularu continues to aid Hyrule's people in this time of war, more fingers begin to point towards her. While she was commonly depicted as bratty, her commitment to her people was clear for all to see. And the revelation that she had been chosen by the Goddess herself to wield a Crest of Courage only further solidified her claim. At this point, her taking the throne is almost a given. May it be that a new Zora Queen will soon be crowned?
[attr="class","section"]Oron & Ehtolos
Prince Oron and Prince Ehtolos were heralded by the court upon their return to Hyrule Castle. The once-wayward Princes of Hyrule had returned in spectacular fashion after fighting to drive off the dragon Argorok. The two of them had proved their worth once more before their people and had shown that despite the political drama that had cursed the throne since the war had begun, Hyrule still had strong leaders at the fore.
However, this new fame would likely make it more difficult for the two free-spirited Princes to roam unseen. People knew who they were and what they looked like now, and casual expeditions may well be interrupted. Not to mention the insistence of some court officials to keep them safe in order to serve as motivational figureheads in the battles to come. But in the shadows, some officials had left anonymous letters to the both of them, asking a single question:
Wouldn't Hyrule be better off with you as its King?
[attr="class","section"]Aurelie
Aurelie would return home to a hero's welcome from her trope. Word had spread quickly, and who knew that she had this amount of fighting spirit in her so as to go and fight a dragon of all things? She would find herself being recognized for more than just her performances as a ballerina these days, though perhaps she shouldn't look into retiring the dancing shoes for good just yet. Between her performances and her newfound fighting fame, she had developed a bit of a fan club. Needless to say, attendance at her shows was higher than it had ever been.
[attr="class","section"]Klara
The young Gerudo Chief's daughter Klara had journeyed outside of her village to aid the people of Hyrule, an act that some members of the Royal Family would not ignore. Having expressed to some her dream of uniting the scattered Gerudo villages into a single Gerudo Town, rumors of this dream began to spread alongside the word of her deeds. This would perhaps reach the ears of other Gerudo, and just in time for emissaries on behalf of some Royal Family members to visit her village wanting to talk trade.
[attr="class","section"]The Crest Wielders
Some time later, as Hyrule prepared for the final battle, the Triforce crests would begin to resonate.
For Josh Dragelion, Selene Merrows, Marianne de Hyrule, Desmond Dragelion, Revyn, Oron El Hyrule and Rularu Groupan. A presence would call for them. Whether for or against their better judgement, the group would be compelled to amass deep within Faron Woods. As their crests began to glow, a path would open leading into the Sacred Grove.
Perhaps the time had finally come to find out just why they had been chosen.
