[attr="class","section"]the appearance
Lowain is a young man with spiky platinum blonde, almost white colored hair, and the signature red colored eyes typical of a Sheikah. He stands at around 6 feet (183cm) in height and has a fairly lean, fit physique built primarily for mobility and speed. His skin is somewhat pale in coloration and he can conjure a distinct visage due to his magical prowess. He also sports various tattoos across his body embodying the unique eye-like motifs that Sheikah are known for.
Lowain dresses in a typical manner expected of a Sheikah warrior who also specializes in espionage and sneaking around. His outfit is primarily of a dark black color with hints of red, brown, and gold. Pretty straighforward given his heritage. One should not be fooled too much as it is perfectly suited for combat as well.
[attr="class","section"]the personality
Lowain's entire personality is best described as him being incredibly eccentric. Almost to a fault sometimes. He is extremely over-the-top and flamboyant with a strange manner of speaking and being very extroverted and willing to aid the people around him, especially the Hyrulian Royal Family whom he currently serves under as one of the personal Royal Guards. While he will aid Marianne with any requests she needs, he personally serves under Oron, who is also an old, personal friend of Lowain's. One of the few Oron had growing up... Lowain supposedly has what he refers to as his "chosen" or "aching blood", which tends to be referring to a very strong combat spirit and possibly his raw magical power as well... To a point where he now has "special moves" in combat. Lowain takes care of much of the armory and also has a tendency to bestow "titles" or alternate names to almost anything one could think of provided he has the muse for the specific item. Despite these bizarre tendencies, Lowain is a very reliable individual and can offer some advice to his friends. When called for, Lowain can actually drop the pretense and become much more serious, which is never a side that foes want to see out of him... Lowain has a few deeply hidden regrets, but he normally is not weighed down too heavily by them due to his optimism and encouraging words for others.
[attr="class","section"]background
Lowain was born in Kakariko Village, which in the present day serves as one of the central homes for those of the Sheikah. Lowain's family is known as the Ylisse Clan, who have been known for the past few generations for their extremely strong link to the magical arts without even needing formal tutelage in the craft. Lowain was no exception to this rule. Lowain's magic could only be described as prodigal and his training in the typical combat arts of the Sheikah proved very successful as well. Lowain's magic was incredible and he could maneuver around anywhere almost as well as the elders in their prime even at a young age. Some of Lowain's progenitors had served the Royal Family as personal Royal Guards and the elders had recommended Lowain as one such candidate. Lowain saw it as an honor unlike any other due to his "heroic" lineage and that being a successful Royal Guard is one of the greatest ways to truly leave behind a legacy. The stakes were high, but Lowain was not one to back down from even Death Mountain itself as his challenge! Lowain, his parents, his uncle, aunt, and cousin all would soon move to Hyrule City after the elders discussed things with King Daphnes VI. Along the way, Lowain had a chance meeting with the mysterious Oron El Hyrule, cousin to the heir who also had a fairly sheltered upbringing as a child due to some overprotective tendencies of his parents who were also ensuring he had the best tutoring and training for when the time came for him to step up into the spotlight more. Using his skills, Lowain would continue to spend time with Oron and became perhaps his first true friend outside of his family...
Years passed and Lowain would undergo further rigorous training before Lowain would serve the Royal Family faithfully as a magical soldier and endear himself to and confuse many with his combined prowess and equally odd behavior. Soon, he had truly proven himself and he was soon officially inducted into the Royal Guard at only age 18, one of the youngest ever in the history of Hyrule. During this time, he had also been serving alongside Oron, who had personally subjected himself to the military life in an attempt to expand his horizons, observe Leon, and meet more people. At his request, he was positioned as currently the only true member of Oron's personal honor guard, helping Oron with various tasks, extra training, and even espionage when needed. The events of the Starlight Tragedy weigh heavily on Lowain's heart due to the fact that he felt he didn't do his duty proper in saving Oron's parents as well as something clearly snapping inside of Oron after that day, which worried Lowain... This only came to a head during the Battle of Eldin where Oron supposedly perished due to him suddenly losing control and despite Lowain's best efforts, he was unable to find Oron's body anywhere once the fighting had concluded. Lowain's former home was also left almost completely destroyed... Oron was thus believed to be dead, which deeply saddened Lowain to a point where others even noticed it for a time. His family did their best to help him through it and their support was key in Lowain slowly picking himself back up. He thus continued serving the Royal Family in a more general sense without Oron around, helping Marianne and Leon with anything they needed out of him. He was also encouraged to make trips back to Kakariko Village after being informed of the efforts to rebuild his home, which Lowain began to help with whenever he had the time and/or permission to do so. He slowly began to get into a new rhythm... Until around a year later when Oron suddenly reappeared and Lowain was one of the first to find him in the castle besides some generic guards, thus rushing off to inform the now-Queen Marianne of his return. With Oron back, Lowain immediately assumed his duties once more with glee, though Oron has been trying to encourage Lowain to take on tasks that allow him to go around Hyrule, see new sights, have new experiences, and meet more people even... While also requiring some extra espionage from the skilled Sheikah due to some growing trouble with much of the nobility...
Despite the esteem of being a Royal Guard, maybe one day Lowain could take on a new, more independent role...
