Lanayru Province, Gerudo Desert
Distant Outskirts of the Arbiter's Grounds
...
Following the collection of all of what have been dubbed the Tears of Light, the spirits that serve as defenders of the various Provinces had their powers restored and the Curtains were banished. Soon, magical springs blessed by them were also discovered. Upon bathing in one of these spiritually charged springs, Oron was able to return himself to his true form. He had been stuck in the form of a Cheetah for a lot longer than anticipated... The whole ordeal was a big success, but something had been bothering Oron since the end of the initial expedition... That mark that appeared on Desmond Dragelion's hand. It was much akin to the old descriptions of when the Triforce pieces would manifest onto their chosen wielders... So that was what Ursula was likely referring to when she described how a piece of the Triforce of Wisdom awakened in Marianne. A 'Triforce Crest'... Desmond oddly seemed a bit distressed by its appearance... One that appeared to be for the Triforce of Courage instead... Despite the successes of the 'Lightbringers', it didn't seem like they were any closer to what must be done sadly.
Oron honestly didn't know what had drawn him all the way out here. He had seemingly traveled here alone and came fully armed... The Arbiter's Grounds... What one might refer to as ground zero. The place where the Mirror of Twilight was fully assembled only to inadvertently unleash disaster all across Hyrule as the Twilight Realm itself now tries to force Hyrule into darkness... On top of horrific monsters sprawling out from the Realm into Hyrule. Oron was a pretty fair distance away from the former prison. The light of the clear skies above going immediately into the muted darkness of the Twilight Realm that had spread all across the general area. The area was heavily guarded and the soldiers were incredibly hesitant to allow Oron to go anywhere near the Grounds. What was Oron going to do? Test his mettle? Attempt revenge? The instant he steps across the Curtain around the Grounds, he'd immediately turn back into that animal form... Mighty as he still could be in that form, it was not ideal for what he desired... If only they could discover a method that would allow them access to the Twilight Realm without being forced to change forms... He could finally get what he had been desiring for over two years now...
Oron clenched his fists. He felt compelled to keep moving forward... To slaughter all of these monsters that were empowered by the corrupting influence of Twilight... The darkness within him burned at the raw pressure of the darkness. Even if he couldn't get to that man... 'King' Raalk... Knocking his mindless minions down a few pegs wouldn't hurt, right? ... Mother? Father? ... Uncle? Oron's eye twitched. His head began to hurt and feel hazy. Oron began to step forward slowly. Trudging through the persistent heat and thick sands of the desert... Closer and closer to the Curtain.
"... Yes. I'll show those beasts my power. I will draw him out to face me..." Oron had also been feeling something... Odd inside of him lately. A different feeling that he couldn't describe... It gave him a gentle warmth that almost contrasted with the intense darkness inside of him... It burned brighter too in this very moment... Oron didn't know what it was.
Someone probably should stop him now...
