Forever is a long time but I wouldn't mind spending it by your side
Every passing season brought new changes into her world. Such was the way of life. And honestly, it was preferred. To have a boring, stagnant life, sitting around doing nothing, having no sense of adventure... It would be too hard to live like that. But to live too much adventure could be detrimental too. Such was her winter. Trekking underwater temples, battles amidst a twisting sandstorm... Getting ripped to pieces by a desert demon. Selene had not found a way to live a balanced life, one of adventure but one that would keep her safe...
Her chest throbbed as she remembered the sensation of being injured. Instinctively, a hand clenched and lifted to press into her sternum. Her eyes shut tight... It was a scary experience. But Hyrule's doctor's and chirurgeons were some of the best. Not to mention, she'd had the best bedside partner someone could ask for...
Slowly, her phantom pain seeped away, and she lifted her chin to gaze about the plaza. Though the Starlight Festival held underlying sadness for some, it was also a reprieve from the events as of late. For those unaware of the fate of the kindgom, it would just be another celebration. To Selene, it was a moment of temporary peace... Yet it was a peace she'd take with caution.
As she waited for her company for the evening, she started to snack on the little fruit kabob she had picked up at a nearby vendor. It was a simple and delicious treat; a ripe strawberry dipped in tempered sugar, which when cooled, turned into a sweet and crunchy coating over the strawberry. On reserve was another kabob, which she'd share if he got here in time, or eat for herself if she had to continue to wait~ She wondered if he'd even recognize her; her silvery hair was styled up tonight, with a braid wrapped around the thick bun. And instead of her normal adventurer's attire, she wore an ornamental robe-like dress with butterfly patterns. Rather feminine, she had to admit, but she was trying to get in touch with her "royal" side~ She had to wonder what Marianne would think.
But, ahh, for now she would enjoy watching the people around her while she crunched on her snack, waiting for a certain someone~
