"Phew...these things are so cumbersome...how do all of these other races deal with it?" Rularu mumbled as she fidgeted with the one of the straps on the simple-but-elegant outfit for the starlight festival. Although Zoras never had a need for clothing, and despite numerous people insisting she wasn't in any way obligated to dress up for the festival, Rularu decided she was going to go all-in for this, and thus had one of the attendants at Hyrule Castle help her in not just choosing an outfit that would look good on her, but also aide her in putting in on, since Rularu wasn't entirely sure how the whole "clothes" thing works. Before, Rularu had never been interested in taking part in the Starlight Festival and this never felt a need to come out and partake in any of the festivities. This year, however, was different, as her horizons had been considerably expanded since the last one. This time around, she found herself curious about it, so she decided to attend.
As for why she was at Hyrule Castle, that was simple. She was here to see someone. Someone she had hoped would show her around the festival grounds and guide her through what one was supposed to do and not do while enjoying the festivities. She wanted that someone to be Marianne. So imagine her disappointment when, after coming all this way to get all dressed-up and surprise her, she learned that Marianne had been holed up in her room ever since the opening ceremony. Initially, the attendants who aided her didn't have the heart to say anything, but once they did, they added that they were hoping that Rularu might be able to get her out of her funk. After all, many of them had noticed that the two of them had formed a rather strong bond in the time they'd come to know each other. A few had even noticed that Rularu's feelings for Marianne definitely went beyond mere friendship, though they chose to pretend they didn't out of respect.
Still, eiher way, they all had the same thought. If anyone can snap their beloved Marianne out of this, then Rularu can. As such, the Zora princess made her way to the door of the room that Marianne was holed up in, and gave it a firm knock. "Marianne! You're in there, right? It's me, Rularu!"
