[attr="class","festtext"] [attr="class","festsub"]spring, year 3 With the Mirror of Twilight restored, Hyrule's forces had hoped to enter the Twilight Realm and confront the leader of the enemy armies to put an end to this war before it could truly start. But the enemy struck first. A Twili calling himself "Raalk, the King of Twilight" had amassed an army of Shadow Beasts and brought them through the Mirror of Twilight soon after its completion. With the Twilight Curtain seeping through and beginning to engulf the Arbiter's Grounds, Hyrule's forces had no choice but to retreat.[break][break] With the Arbiter's Grounds now stuck firmly in the Twilight Realm and Raalk's whereabouts unknown, Hyrule has been forced on the defensive. Scuffles between the allied forces and the shadow army have become commonplace in the months that have followed, turning all of Hyrule into a warzone. The best they can do at the moment is survive until an opportunity presents itself.[break][break] [attr="class","festsub"]the starlight festival With the dawn of a new year upon us, Hyrule had seen nothing but fighting for a long time now. Morale was undoubtedly low, but festival organizers in Hyrule City decided the best thing they could do was try and alleviate this stress. The year before, the Starlight Festival had been cancelled. The wounds stemming from the Starlight Tragedy orchestrated by Raalk's forces were still fresh.[break][break] This year, the Starlight Festival would make its grand return, flying in the face of Raalk's machinations. The beginning of the new year would see the night where the stars were at their brightest, and perhaps for one night, the people of Hyrule could forget their troubles. On the day of the festival, those who participate can expect:[break] Stargazing [attr="class","cp cp-star"] The Starlight Festival has always coincided with the stars being at their brightest and most plentiful, more than any other time of the year. Some say it will bring good luck to watch the stars with someone you really care for.[break][break] [attr="class","festsub"]to the members of land of twilight, We just wanted to say -- Happy New Year! It's rare the IC calendar lines up with the site's ICly moving to a new year, so we thought we would celebrate in style! This will mark the beginning of a new format for events going forward as we try new things in order to make this site the most enjoyable it can be for the members. As well as to allow you the most flexibility to tell your stories! Make sure you read the rules of this event carefully, and feel free to give any feedback that will allow us to improve things for the members in future events![break][break] [attr="class","cp cp-star-o"] This is a Casual Event. There will be no combat (No Starlight Tragedy this time, we swear) and serves as a chance for the members to take a break and let their stories breathe before the next Plot Event.[break][break] All in all, we hope your new years are merry, and that you all accomplish everything you want to this year! Thanks so much for hanging out with us on LoT! We love and appreciate you all! Sincerely,[break] The Land of Twilight Staff Team - Josh, Fish and Middy |
