Apparently, children didn't just wander from town to town in Hyrule. What a silly notion. She was a child, and perfectly capable of taking care of herself! Or at least, everyone called her a child, so she must be, right? She had learned that she was much older than even some of the young adults running the market stalls, and yet she was still a child to them! What silly talk. [break][break]
It ended up just being so much simpler to just pretend she had an adult with her, somewhere. All of a sudden questions of where her parents were completely faded, and all of a sudden she was being such a responsible and smart girl. Buying food and books all on her own for her parents. It felt like such a silly excuse, especially considering she had no real concept of parenthood, but it worked. [break][break]
In Ordon Village, people had begun to ask questions about her parenthood. After all, they had never seen them and she had been in town a few times. It was simply a matter of expressing her father was a powerful mage, and kept to his studies at the inn. Of course, the innkeeper was the only one to know her secret, but he seemed pretty relaxed about the whole thing. [break][break]
After a busy day buying snacks for the road, Ritua returned back to the small inn room and settled down on the bed. "Alright Token, you can come out now." She spoke softly to her fairy, plopping her bag down and opening it up. [break][break]
The fairy flew out of the backpack as Ritua grabbed her latest book. "Finally," the fairy spoke. Fluttering around the room as if stretching its legs, they spoke up again. "Find anything interesting while you were out this time?" [break][break]
"Nope!" Ritua said, grinning softly. "Just some fancy goat cheese. But I think that's normal here. Everyone had like, goat cheese. I didn't even know goats made cheese."[break][break]
"How... interesting." Token spoke, eventually just settling down on top of the bag itself. "Another study night?"[break][break]
"Yep. We leave tomorrow, I got enough rations to last me for a trip to the big city! I've heard the castles stretch on into the sky as far as you can see!" It was surely an exaggeration, but she didn't quite know that yet. Grinning to herself, she simply returned to her tome and began to study it. There was always something little to learn that she probably missed the first time around, anyway.
