It turned out, this time, adventure came looking for him.

*knock* *knock*

Two knocks on the orphanage door. Two knocks with firmness in it. With certainty.

And waiting anyone who opened the door, was a figure in black cloak, their face hidden and their whole figure covered under it. It was not something quite so unusual for traveler to dress that way, especially those going to the night. But it seemed such a waste with today's beautiful morning.

"Is this where I can find Ryder Ash?"

The voice was polite enough. Not urgent. Not threatening in any way. And it was the voice of a young woman. A Hylian perhaps, if the voice was not a disguise also.

It was hard to discern what expression the mystery guest actually wore. The cowl she wore obscured nearly all her face, only revealing that she had -a rather delicate- chin. It was hard to even see her lips, and even harder to guess her body language. But somehow, it felt that the mystery guest was smirking.

"A fair lady? You must really like shadows."

Her voice seemed natural enough. But who knows, it could have been easily part of her disguise.

If she was impressed or annoyed by the swordsman boast, she did not show it. She stood as still as shadows the entire time, listening politely and with no clear reaction. "Wonderful. Then, I have come to meet the right person," she continued, "Shall we continue inside?"

And she was quite a polite guest, waiting to be welcomed inside rather than barging in, and subsequently waiting to be allowed to sit before actually sitting. Peculiar for someone as secretive-looking as her.... The way she moved would indeed remind someone of a formless shadow. Fleeting and smooth.... One could almost swore that the person had no feet.

Her hood turned a few times, seemingly her scrutinizing her surroundings closely, before settling down. The same hidden figure. The same hidden face. All black.

"I shall get straight to the important matters, then. I have heard that you are quite familiar with Death Mountain, correct? Surely you have heard about the recent... happenings in Goron Mines?"

She was referring to a recent event event in Goron Mines which supposedly leave a few dead. link The details were not fully released to the public, and there was even some who went on saying that both The Gorons and The Royal Family was involved in some kind of cover up.

"The exact area is off-limits right now, by the decree of Goron Leadership. But I have here a client who wished to go deep inside the mines. It would be easier for us if we can have an experienced guide who knows his way around the place."

The stranger leaned closer.

"This is where you come in. I am sure you understand the role you'll have to play."

This whole setup seemed suspicious. Illegal even. That would explain why the need for such clothing, right? Just what operation was going on here?

"Of course, you shall be rewarded handsomely." The stranger hand slipped inside her cloak, and came out with a brown sack that was obviously jingling with rupees. "Two thousand rupees" -which could net a huge diamond! - "Half shall be paid here, right now. And the other half after my client is returned safely."

An interesting offer. Perhaps too interesting.

"What say you, Ryder Ash?"
