the cold, crisp air cooled her skin as she swung downwards for the four hundredth and eighty-sixth time. a heavy breath escaped her, as she swung again, her green eyes focused on the wooden blade. to her, this was less hard work, and more soothing. a daily repetition that confirmed she was not standing still on her goals, that she was progressing towards her dreams. because the blonde hylian had one particular goal, and today would be her first step onto it’s path.

her thoughts had taken her to the six hundredth swing. this time, she let out a large exhale, and gently stuck the blade in the ground before her. stretching, the blonde feels her tunic is stuck to her skin from the sweat of the exercise. some may comment on it, but she doesn’t care. any man or woman that calls for propriety when training is one that doesn’t understand the word. and that thought leads her back to her day today.
[break][break]
she looks at the sky, the darkness of it slowly lighting up as the sun finally rises. today is the day. it fills her with many emotions, so much so that she closes her eyes to just let in sink in. past the nervousness, past the fear, past all the emotions, she finds herself content. because her path would become clear after all of this.
[break][break]
the sound of crunching snow brought her back to reality, as she turns her head in the direction of the noise. “Hello? Can I help you?” she asks, her tone polite.
