[attr="class","section"]Leadership
While the Kingdom of Hyrule stretches across multiple sectors with their own leadership, Hyrule City itself is directly governed by the Royal Family. Many advisors and sector heads manage different aspects of Hyrule's governance under the watchful eye of its monarch and the Royal Family. From managing finances, to construction, to planning festivals, they work diligently to ensure Hyrule's prosperity.
Distinguished individuals who have done an extraordinary service to Hyrule may have their family names titled as nobility. While they hold no official power, noble houses are well respected and will always have the Royal Family's ear if they have ideas on how to improve matters in Hyrule. While some choose to use this status to play politics for their own gain, others seek to continue to help the Royal Family guide Hyrule into a better future.

A large and powerful entity, the Royal Family’s military force spreads all across Hyrule. They are a terrifying force, unmatched by any known army in the world. Hyrule’s robust military is divided into three sectors in order to make the most of what each individual brings to the table. Members of Hyrule's military corps are the bulk of Hyrule's fighting force during war. Outside of warfare, soldiers do a bit of everything. From undergoing dangerous missions, to guard duty. The ranks of Soldier, Lieutenant, and Commander represent three degrees of assignment difficulty, and promotion generally happens based on the soldier's proven capability and reliability to Hyrule's interests relating to more difficult assignments. The Four Generals are chosen from those who show strong leadership qualities, and are capable of managing and leading Hyrule's forces. Soldiers who perform better in certain areas may be assigned to them more often in order to play to their strengths.
Soldiers of suitable capabilities may be specially chosen by the Royal Family to become Royal Guards. Answering only to the Royal Family, these Royal Guards are assigned to protect Hyrule Castle, Hyrule's top officials, and the Royal Family itself. Some may be chosen to act as part of a Royal Family member's personal honor guard.
Hyrule's strongest field operatives may be considered as candidates for the Knights of Hyrule. Operating under the command of the Knight-Captain, the Knights act as the public faces of Hyrule's military, being sent on vital missions that can be incredibly dangerous. A Knight's schedule and training regiment is based entirely around preparing to face the worst threats Hyrule has to offer. Knights serve as leaders on and off the battlefield, and may elect to handpick a squad of soldiers of any rank to mentor for the betterment of Hyrule's military, sometimes taking them along on assignments. Many soldiers with aspirations to become Knights themselves work hard to potentially be selected for mentorship. Those mentored by Knights are often nicknamed Squires.
Settlements under Hyrule's banner such as Ordon and Kakariko Village each have their own local leadership, as well as a military garrison that places them under the protection of the Royal Family's military. Each garrison is led by an Outpost Captain to protect the settlement in their times of need, though some settlements have civilians who will fight to protect their home if it comes to it.
