"Um, excuse me sir. I think you dropped this," a young voice said.
Turning around, Soljulan would see a young girl, appropriately dressed for winter herself, but also holding an extra blanket in her hands. No, wait, it was a cloak. It was simple in make and design, but it had a very colorful flair to match the performer's persona. It was bright blue with a gold and green-patterned trim. She hoped that was alright.
moments before...
Braedynne was visiting Castle Town for the first time. Luckily, with her brand-new compass and map, she had no issues with getting lost, and she made it there long before dark. This was also due to the fact that she had left very early in the morning. There were a lot of sight and sounds to take in.. so many places and.. so many people...
But there was one person that did stand out a lot. There was a man with long purple hair, in a gaudy yet revealing outfit, who looked just a little bit lost, just like her. And what's more, in his current state of dress, he looked rather cold as well. Well it was pretty obvious with the way he shivered and hugged himself with his arms. It was then that Braedynne had passed what appeared to be a clothing shop, and that's when she had an idea.
Only problem is, by time she had purchased the cloak and went back outside to find him, the man was currently engaged in some sort of fight or shouting match, surrounded by a ring of jeering people. Braedynne was afraid she would lose sight of the colorful man and have to find him again (though admittedly that wouldn't have been too hard picking him out). Instead, it was quite the opposite as the forming crowd attracted and focused all that attention.
There really wasn't much for Braedynne to do other than stand back helplessly and watch as the spectacle unfolded. Harsh words being exchanged back and forth, a nasty thud which might have sounded like driving a mallet into a rack of raw meat. More shouting, but eventually the fight was dispersed. The colorful man had followed another into a different shop. Shortly after, he emerged with his arms full and a nasty bruise forming on his face. Braedynne was having some second thoughts, but timidly, she followed the man and eventually worked up the nerve to get his attention.
back in the present...
The young girl tentatively extended her arms, offering up the cloak with an uneasy smile, almost as if she was trying to feed a hungry lion. But something else seemed to be off about her. Soljulan would notice that underneath the hood of her cloak, the girl's hair appeared to be green. And also, something like a ball of pale-blue light was floating nearby her as well. A bit of an odd sight. Had he ever seen that before? Was it some sort of magic trick?
