Ichika lies faceup on the beach, sitting in the shade of an adjacent tree. She tries to relax and enjoy the pleasnt weather, and ignore the restless part of her that said this was a waste of time. She had not chosen to come here by choice, but her grandmother and mentor had forced her on this after she passed out during a 12 hour long training session. She insisted she was fine afterwards, but her grandmother refused to yield, citing that a little relaxation was "good for the soul" after which she winked and added "And the beach is the perfect place for you to meet my future son in law" much to her infuriation and revulsion. But nethertheless, she was here, trying not to stare in disbelief at the revealing clothing everyone else was wearing. How anyone could wear so little without feeling dirty was beyond her. She herself had shed her outer layer of her uniform, but the remaining clothes she had on were more than enough to make her severely overdressed for the occasion, and made her feel quite hot, despite being in the shade.

"It's cool enough" she responds in a monotone, and that was true. while she was hot in all those clothes, she wasn't experiencing any symptoms of heatstroke. "Are you truly concerned for my saftey, or do you just want another half-naked girl to ogle at?" she pushes back, wondering what this guy's problem was and why he couldn't leave her alone. Deciding not antagonize him further, she sighs and looks around the beach "It is a nice day though, I can certainly see why this place is so popular." she sees the fishing pole he had left behind and looks back at him "You catch anything yet, or are you just looking for a reason to be outside?"

"I'm always dressed for combat." she stands up and brushes some sand off her clothes. She nods at his question "I was born and raised in Kakariko, was there when it was attacked. We didn't have enough people to hold them off, and the hyalin military arrived too late" she casts him an almost accusatory glare. She had no way of knowing if he was a solider, but he was certainly fit enough to fit the bill. "But we survived, we always do."

so he was indeed a soldier. She sighed and looked over the waves crashing on the shore. "I was not with the hylian army at the time, and I have no way of knowing whether what you said is in fact true. However, bickering over whether or not it was anyone's fault will never bring the dead back to life. The outcome remains the same." Even in the shade, she felt herself burning up, and she reluctantly moved to remove the veil over her mouth. Her skin was unnaturally pale, owing to spending most of her life almost entirely covered

"That much is true" she sighs as she looks over the beach "The royal family always have more soldiers than necessary in the capital, and the other regions all suffer as a result, although the Zora, Goron, and Shiekah all have their own separate forces, there are many towns and villages in hylian territory that lack the necessary soldiers. I understand that troops are scarce in this time of war, and that priority needs to be given to the important outposts, but do we really need a procession of 1,00 royal guards every holiday? Wouldn't those troops me more of use keeping people safe?"
