"For my Kingdom...
DRACONIC SHOWDOWN QUEST -- START! While the ship wasn't fixed enough to travel, it at the very least wouldn't sink while they slept in it. That was the first part of the deal between the party and these villagers. If they survived the night on the ship, they would help the villagers, so long as they held up their part of the deal in helping them get back to Hyrule's shores. Considering the exhausting events of the day before, it likely wouldn't be hard for the lot of them to sleep. When morning came, they spent time around the village, getting to see its sights but more importantly, getting some direction on where they were going. If they were going to take down this Vorva Dunga, they were going to need to find it first. Bading the villagers farewell, they set off for the cold mountain that had been dubbed Mount Vorva Dunga, for that was where the great beast lay. And Josh had to say right here and now: He hated the cold. He had always hated the cold. Vladimir knew by now just how much Josh detested the cold, and the higher up they got, and the more he shivered, the more that the Hylian fidgeted with annoyance. At first it had just been snow flurries, but then the cold winds were slowly becoming more fierce. Couldn't they have warned them about that? You know, instead of their only warning being this cryptic thing about "Watch out for his followers"? What did that even mean? "Is everyone doing alright?" Josh called to the group. They had been supplied coats to go over their tunics and armor, but they weren't the most well-made. A reminder of just how primitive these villagers apparently now were thanks to that giant lizard. "If we can find some firewood, we might need to make camp and warm ourselves before we continue too far. No sense in running ourselves into the ground. We need all the strength that we can get if we're going to fight this thing." But they wouldn't have much time to decide. The winds suddenly grew worse, far worse. And the group would find their movements slowing down. Ice had begun to engulf their feet, and was starting to spread upwards across their bodies! The cause? What had looked like frozen sculptures were actually monsters. Five in all, spread across two sides. On closer inspection they looked as though they had a set of holes for eyes, a nose and a mouth, as well as a set of icy horns at the top. One by one, more eyes seemed to open on their icy flesh, opening to reveal a glowing red. Each one had to have about a dozen eyes! But their their breath had begun to slowly freeze the party. They didn't have long to act... |
For my people... I need to do this."
