Why was she here again? Honestly? Maude hated Castle Town! It was supposed to be Josh's job to run all this stupid errand! Then she could just stay home and pretend the outside world didn't exist. It was great! But no! she had to be back in this loud, busy, person-filled place looking for.... hold on let her look at the note Josh left her when he finally figured out she had no idea what she was doing..... shears? What did they need shears for!? Sunrise Farms only had goats last she checked!? Do you shear goats!? She didn't deal with the animals alright!? Maude took care of the crops because plants don't talk back!

Did Josh at least tell her where on this Goddess forsaken land she would even find shears? .....NO!? WELL GREAT! SHE GUESSED SHE WAS JUST WONDERING AROUND TOWN LIKE AN IDIOT UNTIL SOMETHING POPPED UP! SHE WAS JUST SO HAPPY SHE CAME HERE TODAY!

Goddesses help her she was giving herself a headache. She preferred her yelling to be outward and not inward, but shouting to herself wasn't usually considered "socially acceptable." She needed a drink. Maude sat down for a moment, just at a nearby bench. She rubbed her eyes a bit and grumbled to herself grumpily, but just before she could grab fer flask and take an every so hardy sip, she conveniently noticed her was sitting next to a child. She figured it wouldn't be very appreciate to drink alcohol in front of a child. That was disappointing. She supposed it gave her time to wonder why there was a stray child running around Castle Town. Well, there were plenty of free-roaming kids who just had places to be, but this one seemed particularly young. Not to mention she sat next to him and she was half sure that meant she was supposed to say hello. She thought anyways. She didn't know, but she didn't want to be rude.

"Uh... Hi?" Goddesses, she was just the best at this wasn't she?

Oh Goddesses. She scared the thing! Was she really that mean looking? She knew she was intimidating, but goodness...

Well... she didn't mean to make him drop his food. He looked really disappointed too. She hated when kids got upset, especially because of her. She never knew what to do. "Oh no. I'm so sorry. I uh.... I'll make that up for you, ok?" Alright, ok, she'd just buy him something else to eat. That would make it better, right? Why did she keep interacting with children. She wasn't very good at it. Even the first time she found Farrah she'd made the girl cry. Granted, Farrah was a bit sensitive, but Maude hadn't helped!

What was this? What was wh-oh. "o-oh. uh... This is just a container. I keep... p-pumpkin juice in there......... how... old are you?" This was a very young child wasn't it? She didn't remember Farrah being so clueless when she found her. Farrah was also around 18 when Maude met her, but she was the only point of reference of children Maude had. She certainly acted like a child.

Oh. Oh geez she was scaring the child. 10 years old was really young. She wondered if he should really be wondering around on his own. She knew a certain girl in her 20s who shouldn't be running around on her own, let alone a 10 year old. Though she supposed she couldn't speak for everyone. She had been a decently responsible child. She took care of her sister and did her chores, though she she also didn't leave home a lot. She never had a reason to. It wasn't like she had friends to go play with. There were better things to do.

Still, she'd assumed one lonely child was fine and been wrong. She wanted to make sure this time, but the kid didn't really seem comfortable talking to her. It would help if she could just casually talk to the kid, get him to talk back, have a nice conversation, but she'd very effectively proved incapable of that. She supposed she'd just have to keep trying. Worst case scenario she ends up adopting another lost child.

She didn't mind being asked questioned. She figure the kids was just curious or trying to find something to say. She could relate to both those things. Of course, Maude also had the expressional range of a teaspoon so she didn't look like she was anything more than bored at this point, regardless of what she actually felt. "I came from Ordon. I have to pick something up here..... What about you?"
