A warrior and a commander, Gwyar favors either convenience or combat utility in spells. Considered to possess an aptitude for War since his early youth, he can measure the usefulness of a spell to himself and his Sword Style and run through several possible ways he could utilize them if given enough time, and then, decide whether to master the spell, or discard it entirely.

- Project Thoughts
Used often to command his soldiers silently. Great for ambushes, fake outs, and outside of combat, prudent, emergency advice. - Mend Object
Gwyar's most used spell; he's been making use of it since before he became a soldier. For tasks that only entail the restoration and upkeep of Military Equipment, his spell can be considered comparable to a Master Blacksmith's care. - Light Pointer
Taught by Gwyar to all soldiers during bootcamp, alongside with Gwyar's personal code. (Something along the lines of Morse Code.) Through the use of several watchtowers and flashing lights at set intervals, it is possible to communicate swiftly if needed. - Deflect Light
A spell Gwyar learned in his youth while being taught the basics of Hylia Magic. He doesn't use it often, though he's thought of a few uses. - Holy Glow
A spell Gwyar learned in his youth while being taught the basics of Hylia Magic. Virtually never used for its intended purpose; he views it only as teaching tool for getting soldiers through the basics of Hylia Magic, so they can better wrap their heads around Project thoughts, Mend Object and Light pointer. - Sphere of Light
Foundational Spell of the Hylia School. Has several uses, specially during night Raids, once the battle has begun in full. - Hallowed Arms
Used it often in his early career, when monsters represented a greater challenge. Has mastery of it. - Shield of Faith
Used it often in his early career, when monsters represented a greater challenge. Has mastery of it, and his own particular methods of utilizing it. - Inspire
A good skill for a commander, and one he's mastered during his tenure of the Lake Hylia Outpost. His booming voice can rally his men and allow them to reach greater heights. - Healing Gaze
Well, duh. Arguably the most important spell any soldier could learn. - Spell TYPES: explosive, projectile, traps, trickery
There's too many to bother listing, but if they are useful in a fight, Gwyar has at least learned them, though as he's close ranged fighter, projectiles are only used when enemies (successfully) attempt to stay at a distance. - Champion of Light
A favorite of his. Through decades of use, he's made his energy expenditure on it rather efficient. - Blade of Evil's Bane
A souped up Hallowed Arms, he'll say if anybody asks. Very effective, but as he rarely finds something he can't cut through with enough brute force and stubbornness, he considers it inefficient. If pushed to use it, he prefers to keep it to swift, sudden, single slashes. - Smite
For when a really strong, ranged enemy just refuses to be dragged into a close quarters match. - Expert Level Spells
Spells he keeps in his repertoire on the off chance a Silver Lynel decides to pay Lake Hylia a visit. In his experience, these are either too costly to be used in a regular battle, overkill, or have cheaper, just as effective alternatives.
[attr="class","section"]Nayru
- Purify Water
This spell alone makes learning the basics of the Nayru School a must for any intelligent living being, in Gwyar's opinion. - Water Magnet
Though the name would imply otherwise, Gwyar has found it to work with most any liquid substance. Combined with purify water, it is a duo of spells that can save your life in a tough spot. - Dry Out
Nothing says convenience like instantly drying your clothes. - Ice Mist
He only learned this spell to facilitate his learning curve of the Nayru School- but he found it rather useful in the end! After all, you can stop just short of fully freezing your glass for a cool drink!
- Water Orb
A more advanced form of Water Magnet. Easy to learn, once you've got the basics down. Gwyar uses it often on the field to fill his canteen. - Gift of Nayru
Elemental magic is very useful in a fight; most creatures have a weakness to extreme cold, after all.
