One of his scouts came to report her daily findings to Folus. A barbaric looking camp was setup somewhere near the Sacred Grove; luckily, not too close to the entrance, but still too close for comfort. Bound by his sense of duty, Folus would not let this go unchecked. It would be up to him to deal with this situation, since most of the other inhabitants from of the Grove had fallen ill due to the recent mist spreading throughout the forest as a whole. Of course, every step outside his home would mean potential infection for Folus, but his people needed him. The forest itself needed him, he thought, and so he brought his staff with him. It doubled as a walking staff, but served as his weapon in times of combat. Now, he wasn't the quietest walker in the world, seeing as some of the leaves from the vines hanging off his back tended to drag along the ground. Rustling the leaves on the forest floor would be a bad idea if he wanted to remain as stealthy as possible.
It was during his walk, tracing the footsteps of his scout, that he encountered another person. She didn't look to be the monster Folus' scout talked about... for she wasn't some boar-like creature that had a myriad of weapons. Nor was she in a camp. No, she was all by herself - honestly, Folus didn't know how he saw her. If she were wearing green, he reckoned that he wouldn't have been able to see her at all. She moved so quietly, and so precisely! She must have trained every day to be able to move like that. He wouldn't say anything in fear of disclosing their location; he would wait till he got closer before he would say anything. But her weapons were drawn; she must have been looking for some sort of target, some sort of prey. He decided that he would follow her to the best of his ability.
After shifting through bushes, trees, and other brush, Folus caught up with the woman. He noticed that she had stopped behind a tree, carefully looking around the trunk to make out whatever monsters were in the area. He smelled the putrid, yet sweet, aroma of the mist nearby. It wouldn't be long before it came further in his direction. He also heard the grunts of monsters in a clearing nearby, with some kind of rattling instruments as well as the crackling of a fire. Were they dancing? He wasn't close enough to see the smaller monsters. But he heard a large groan, and something push the smaller trees away with just its bare hands. So, this must have been her target. It was likely also the same target that his Deku scout had mentioned.
He didn't know how to act in this situation; he wanted to give her a formal greeting befitting a guest of the Deku, though he wasn't able to have much pomp and circumstance right now. He decided that he would throw a rock tied with vines, hoping that it would grab her attention.
