Kakariko was a nice enough place, mused a blonde as he sat in his hammock, looking around the tool shed. Just outside of the shed, materials were being gathered, granted, building in the winter was difficult, in a region like Kakariko, it was doable. He'd been in Hyrule for a while and frankly, the mayor and a town that said they cared about him determined it was high time the young grave keeper stopped sleeping in a hammock in a tool shed.
He wasn't sure they actually cared, but sometimes they were overwhelming with how they asserted he care for himself. If he wouldn't let people help him with grave work, then they'd find another way to help him. Hylians... confused him. Everyone on this continent did. They always seemed so eager to help someone but only if they could hold out their hands at the end. The way things worked here just... confused him.
But that's what happens when you jar a boy from an isolated clan in a canyon into a real population.
So that boy sat there, a long yawn drawn out of him as he got comfortable in his hammock again. Baook did his own thing, napping in a corner with a now larger Ward curled up in his lap. The fluffy cat flicking their tail contentedly as they cuddled against the chilly draft.
His Grimoire sat across from him, open and his eyes ran over it, occasionally flashing green as he took a breath and felt magic swell through his core, fueling his breathing exercises while his hands focused on taking the freshly mixed salve, starting on the acid burn on his arm. Spattered, evident that it ate through fabric to get to him. He worked silently, ears open to his surroundings, as always, and eyes focused on studying the best he could focus on his hyper-fixations.
