Ursula and Josh
Hyrulean School of Magic, Office of Professor von Brandt
Afternoon
As was noted by Josh Dragelion, Ursula wore a few hats in the kingdom of Hyrule. Firstly, she was the Royal Tutor, who minded the education of Hyrule’s aspirant royalty; second, she was adjunct professor of the Hyrulean School of Magic who taught focus classes on combat magic, if not also covering for sick or absentee professors (the latter being occasional and only once or twice a month—no one in the right mind liked to pick up after someone else’s lessons). Due to her position with both the school and the Royal Family, she was granted offices befitting of her in both locations for either times of her active period.
Ursula’s office in the school was quite thematic for her specialization of magic. Located on the second floor and furnished with tall, filled bookshelves, lavish sable draperies, a sumptuous black carpet, and dark wood flooring with a matching desk garnished with filigree. Her office chair was comfortable for a woman of her youth, along with the two chairs of more humble appearance. A single large, wall-sized window overlooked the school grounds on the students who played on the green during after-hours, as well as the city beyond it.
The professor herself was sitting on an armchair with a lamp by her side, scanning through the end of a book titled: “On the Arts of Din.” Two small rat-like creatures of minute size rolled about on her shoulders, making tiny noises as they squabbled with each other.
Janette, Ursula’s right hand maid, dusted off the shelves with a gentle hum and glanced to the table, which was currently settled with various scrolls and books on its top.
“You’re quite keen today, madame,” commented the servant, “Is there something you see in Sir Dragelion?”
To her question, without even glancing away from her book, Ursula simply replied: “Mm.”
The maid smiled and nodded emphatically. She was about to turn away when she snapped her fingers, “… Ah, I must ask, did you let him best you that time?”
“Mm.”
“I see, I see. Do you think you can best him next time you fight?”
“Mm.”
“Oh, those are fighting words, madame! I do hope you give him a taste of his own medicine!”
“Mm.”
“Hee-hee, she isn’t listening.”
“Mm.”
